Honda K24A4/K24A8/K24Z1 Intake Manifold Cover - 17121-RAA-A00
You're doing a K24A4 or K24A8 engine swap and the top of your intake manifold looks naked, or your Accord, CR-V, or Element's manifold cover is cracked and missing? Part number 17121-RAA-A00 is the OEM plastic intake manifold cover for K24A4, K24A8, and K24Z1 engines. This is the black cover that sits on top of the intake manifold with the "i-VTEC 2.4L DOHC" badge on it. It snaps onto the manifold and covers up all the wiring, vacuum lines, and the fuel rail. Doesn't do anything for performance but it cleans up the engine bay and makes your swap look finished instead of like you gave up halfway through.
Here's What It Actually Does
The manifold cover's just a cosmetic piece. It doesn't seal anything critical or affect how the engine runs. It covers the top of the intake manifold so you're not staring at a mess of vacuum lines, injector wiring, and the fuel rail. On a stock Accord, CR-V, or Element, it makes the engine bay look clean and finished from the factory. On a K24 swap, it's the difference between an engine bay that looks like you care and one that looks like you bolted the motor in and called it done. The "i-VTEC 2.4L DOHC" badge also tells people what's under the hood without them having to ask. Small detail but it matters if you're trying to make your swap look professional.
Factory Cover That Actually Fits
This is the genuine Honda cover, not some universal aftermarket piece. It's molded to fit the K24A4, K24A8, and K24Z1 intake manifolds exactly. The mounting tabs line up with the posts on the manifold and it snaps on tight. Generic covers don't fit right and they look cheap. This one sits flush and doesn't rattle around or pop off when you shut the hood. If your original cover's cracked from heat cycling or someone broke the mounting tabs, this is the direct replacement. If you're swapping a K24 into something and you want the engine to look clean, this cover finishes it.
Perfect for Swaps and Restorations
If you're building a K24 swap, you probably pulled the motor from a wrecked Accord or CR-V. Half the time the manifold cover's missing or destroyed. You bolt the engine in and the top of the intake looks like a wiring nightmare. This cover cleans that up. Same thing if you're restoring an Accord, CR-V, or Element and the original cover's beat. The plastic gets brittle from years of heat cycling and the mounting tabs snap off. You're looking at a cracked cover or no cover at all. Fresh OEM cover makes the engine bay look right again.

Note: This cover just snaps onto the posts on top of the intake manifold. Make sure all the mounting posts on your manifold are intact before you try to install it. If the posts are broken off, the cover won't stay on. When you're snapping it on, line up all the tabs and press down firmly until you hear it click into place. Don't force it if it's not lining up - you'll crack the tabs. If the cover's not sitting flush or it's rattling, one of the tabs didn't snap on properly. Pop it off and reinstall it. The cover doesn't need to come off for regular maintenance. You only pull it when you're working on the intake manifold, fuel rail, or injectors. If you're doing a K24 swap and you want the engine bay to look clean, install this cover last after all your wiring and plumbing's done. That way you're not constantly pulling it off and risking breaking the tabs every time you need to route a wire or check a connection.
