Honda OEM Intake Manifold Gasket - K20A2/K20A3/K20Z1/K24A1
Pulling your intake manifold on your RSX, Civic Si, or CR-V? You'll need a new gasket. This is the genuine Honda aluminum intake manifold gasket for K20A2, K20A3, K20Z1, and K24A1 engines. It seals the mating surface between the intake manifold and cylinder head so you don't get vacuum leaks that cause rough idle, poor throttle response, or lean running conditions. Reusing the old gasket after it's been disturbed is how you end up chasing a vacuum leak you didn't have before the job. Part number 17055-PNA-004.
Replace It Every Time the Manifold Comes Off
Intake manifold gaskets compress when they're torqued down, which is how they seal. Once you unbolt the manifold, the gasket won't seal properly if you try to reuse it. A vacuum leak at the intake manifold causes rough idle, hesitation, and lean codes. It's a cheap part that takes two seconds to swap in, so there's no reason to skip it.
Aluminum Gasket
This is an aluminum multi-layer gasket, not a composite or paper gasket. Aluminum gaskets handle heat better and they don't degrade over time like composite gaskets do. They're also reusable in some cases if they haven't been damaged, but it's still best practice to replace them every time you pull the manifold.
