Why The Right Bolt Is Worth It
Here's the deal, because this isn't just any bolt. Your starter has to bolt up square and located right so its gear lines up properly with the flywheel, and the correct mounting bolt is part of what makes that happen. Grab some random bolt that's the wrong length and you're asking for trouble, too long and it bottoms out before it clamps, too short and you don't get enough thread to hold the starter solid. Important: It Doesn't Fit The 2012-2015 Civic Si

This bolt fits the 2006-2011 Civic Si, which runs the K20Z3, but it does not fit the 2012-2015 Civic Si, which switched to the K24Z7. Same Civic Si name, different engine, different bolt. So if you've got a 2012-2015 Si, this isn't your bolt. For everybody on the K20Z3 or the K24A and K24Z engines listed below, you're in the right spot.
