PRODUCT DETAILS

Honda DC2R/Prelude Type SH Leather Shift Knob - 54102-S30-N21

Restoring your Integra Type R, EM1 Civic Si, or Prelude Type SH and you need the factory shift knob? Part number 54102-S30-N21 is the OEM leather shift knob that came stock on these legendary Hondas. Black leather with red stitching and a 5-speed shift pattern embossed on top. This knob's got the same shape as the NSX shift knob from the early 90s. It's what Honda put in their best handling cars from that era. If you're bringing your DC2, EM1, or BB6 back to factory spec, this is the knob you need.

Here's What Makes This Knob Different

This shift knob uses a unique mounting system with two clips on the bottom to hold the shift boot. It's not like modern Honda shift knobs that use a collar around the shifter. The boot clips directly to the bottom of the knob. That means this knob won't work with newer shift boot setups. It's period-correct for late 90s and early 2000s Hondas that used the clip system. If you're trying to use this on a different chassis or a newer Honda, the boot won't attach properly. This knob's designed for DC2 Integra Type R, EM1 Civic Si, and BB6 Prelude Type SH. That's it. If you've got one of those cars and you want the factory knob, this is the right one.

Perfect for Restoring Late 90s Performance Hondas

If you bought a used Type R, EM1 Si, or Prelude Type SH and someone swapped the shift knob years ago, this gets you back to stock. The original knobs on these cars are usually trashed by now. The leather's cracked, the stitching's coming apart, or someone replaced it with an aftermarket knob that doesn't feel right. This OEM knob's what the car left the showroom with. Black leather with red contrast stitching and the 5-speed pattern embossed on top. It looks right and it feels right. The shape's the same as the early NSX knob, which tells you Honda wasn't messing around when they spec'd this for the Type R and Type SH. These were their performance models and they got the good shift knob.

What You Get

  • Honda OEM shift knob (part number 54102-S30-N21)
  • Black leather with red stitching
  • 5-speed shift pattern embossed on top
  • Two-clip system for shift boot attachment
  • Same shape as early NSX shift knob
  • Original equipment on DC2R, EM1, BB6

Fits Your Car

  • 1997-1998 Acura Integra Type R (DC2R)
  • 1999-2000 Honda Civic Si (EM1)
  • 1997-2001 Honda Prelude Type SH (BB6)

Note: This shift knob only works with the factory two-clip shift boot system used on the DC2 Integra Type R, EM1 Civic Si, and BB6 Prelude Type SH. It won't work with modern shift boot collars. If you're restoring one of these cars and the original shift boot's still good, this knob clips right in. If your boot's damaged or missing, you need to source a factory boot with the clip system before this knob will work properly. The knob threads onto the shifter with standard Honda threads. Once it's threaded on and oriented the way you want it, the shift boot clips into the two slots on the bottom of the knob. Make sure the clips are fully engaged or the boot will pop loose. The shift pattern on top is embossed into the leather, not a sticker or decal. It won't wear off. This is the same knob Honda used on the NSX from 1991-1999, just with a 5-speed pattern instead of the NSX's 6-speed. If you're building a period-correct Type R or EM1 or you're restoring a Prelude Type SH, this knob's what the car should have.
