Honda GE Fit/8th Gen Civic Upper Radiator Bracket - 74171-SNA-A00
Replacing your radiator or doing cooling system work on your 8th gen Civic or GE Fit? You need new upper radiator brackets. The Honda upper radiator bracket (part number 74171-SNA-A00) bolts to the top of your radiator and it's what mounts your radiator to your radiator support. The bracket comes with the metal bracket and the rubber bushing already installed. The rubber bushing sits between the bracket and your radiator so it isolates vibration and the metal bracket doesn't crack your radiator tanks. When the rubber bushing gets old and hard, it doesn't isolate vibration anymore and the metal bracket can crack your radiator. Replace your upper radiator brackets if the rubber bushings are cracked or they're hard.
Here's What This Bracket Does
Your radiator's held in by two upper radiator brackets at the top and lower mounts at the bottom. The upper brackets bolt to the top of your radiator and they're what mount the radiator to your radiator support. Each bracket's got a rubber bushing that sits between the metal bracket and your radiator. The rubber bushing's what isolates vibration from your engine so the metal bracket doesn't vibrate against your plastic radiator tanks and crack them. When the rubber bushing gets old, it gets hard and it cracks. Once it's hard, it doesn't do anything anymore. The metal bracket just vibrates against your radiator tanks and it'll crack them eventually. Replace your upper radiator brackets if the rubber bushings're hard or cracked.
Comes with the Bracket and Bushing
This upper radiator bracket comes with the metal bracket and the rubber bushing already in it. You're getting both parts. You don't need to order the bushing separately. It's already pressed into the bracket when it shows up.
You Need Two of These
The upper radiator brackets're sold individually. Your Civic or Fit's got two brackets (one on each side of the radiator at the top). Order two if you're replacing both upper mounts. If you're just replacing one broken bracket, order one.

Note: These brackets're sold individually. You need two total (one on each side at the top of your radiator). Order two if you're replacing both. Check your upper radiator brackets whenever you're messing with your radiator. If the rubber bushings're hard, cracked, or they're falling apart, replace them. Hard bushings don't do anything and the metal bracket'll crack your radiator tanks. When you're bolting the brackets on, don't crank the bolts down too hard. If you overtighten them, you'll crack your plastic radiator tanks.
