Honda K20C1 Oil Pan - Genuine OEM (11200-5BF-A00)
Whether you cracked your oil pan on a curb, a speed bump, or some track debris, or you've just got one that's leaking around the gasket and you're tired of the drips, this is the fix. Honda 11200-5BF-A00 is the genuine oil pan for the K20C1, the turbocharged engine in your Civic Type R. It's the lower section that bolts to the bottom of the block and holds your oil, and it's not the kind of part you want to patch or run cracked, since it's the only thing standing between your oil and the pavement. Get the real Honda pan back on there and your bottom end stays sealed up the way it should be.
When You'd Need A New One
A few things usually bring you here. The most common is impact damage, the oil pan hangs down low, so a hard hit from a curb, a parking block, a speed bump taken too fast, or debris on track can crack it or dent it enough to leak. The other one is a gasket surface that's been weeping for a while, or a drain plug hole that's been over-torqued or stripped over the years from oil changes. However you got here, a cracked or leaking pan isn't something to put off, because a pan that lets go and dumps your oil at speed can starve the engine in seconds. If yours is damaged or leaking, this is the part that sorts it.
Genuine Honda, Because This Holds Your Oil
This is the real Honda pan, made to the exact shape, sealing surface, and bolt pattern the K20C1 was built around, so it seats flat against the block and seals clean without fighting you. On a part whose entire job is keeping your oil contained, you want the correct fit, not a generic substitute that might not seal right or clear everything it needs to. It's the same pan Honda put on the car at the factory, so you know it bolts up and seals exactly the way it's supposed to.
While You're Under There
Since you've got the pan off, it's the right time to handle the stuff that's a pain to reach otherwise. Heads up on the sealing: this pan doesn't use a gasket, it seals to the block with a bead of Hondabond (FIPG sealant), so make sure you've got a fresh tube on hand before you start. Scrape and clean every bit of the old sealant off both the pan and the block, get the surfaces down to clean bare metal, then lay a proper continuous bead of Hondabond and torque it down in sequence. A clean surface and the right bead are the whole secret to a leak-free seal here, so don't rush that part. While you're at it, grab a new drain plug and crush washer too, especially if the old plug was stripped or rounded from years of oil changes. Do it right once and you're not back under the car chasing a fresh leak.
