Honda EK Civic Passenger Interior Door Handle - 72120-S04-004ZB/ZD
Your EK Civic's passenger side interior door handle broken or missing? These are getting harder to find as the EK Civics get older. This is the OEM interior door handle for the passenger side (front or rear) on 1996-2000 Civic sedans. Part number 72120-S04-004ZB for Charcoal Grey or 72120-S04-004ZD for Taupe. It's the plastic handle you pull to open the door from inside. When these break, your passengers are stuck rolling down the window and using the outside handle to get out. Or they're yanking on whatever's left of the broken handle. Fresh OEM handle fixes it and your interior looks complete again.
Here's Why These Handles Break
EK interior door handles are plastic. After 25+ years of daily use, the plastic gets brittle from UV exposure and heat cycling. The handle cracks at the mounting points or the pull section snaps off completely. Sometimes people yank on the handle too hard when the door's frozen shut in winter and it breaks. Once it's cracked, it's only a matter of time before it breaks off completely. Your passengers are climbing out the window or you're explaining how to open the door from outside. Getting Harder to Find
EK Civics are 25-30 years old now. Interior parts like door handles are getting scarce, especially the coupe or driver's side of the sedan, as Honda has discontinued these. If you're restoring an EK or you're keeping yours clean, stock up on interior trim pieces while they're still available.
Fits Front or Rear Passenger Side
This handle fits both the front passenger door and the rear passenger doors on EK sedans. Same part for both locations. If you need handles for multiple doors, order accordingly. The handle only fits the passenger side (right side of the car). Driver side uses a different part number.
Two Color Options
Available in Charcoal Grey (part number 72120-S04-004ZB) or Taupe (part number 72120-S04-004ZD). Match your interior color. Most EK Civics came with grey interiors, but some have taupe.
