Genuine Honda Water Pipe O-Ring Gasket (91314-PH7-003) - B, F, H, J, L & R Series
This is the O-ring that seals your water connecting pipe, and it's one of those parts that costs almost nothing and causes real headaches when it's ignored. The connecting pipe is a major coolant passage running through your engine, with a flared end on each side where the gasket seats. When that rubber hardens with age, it stops sealing and you get a coolant leak that's annoying to trace because it's tucked away where you can't easily see it. This is the genuine Honda replacement.
Make Sure You've Got The Right One
Important, because Honda uses a similar-looking O-ring in a different size elsewhere. This is 91314-PH7-003, covering B, F, H, J, L, and R series engines.
If you're working on a D-series, you need a different part. Same style of gasket, completely different dimensions, and they aren't interchangeable. Check your engine before ordering rather than going by appearance, since these look nearly identical side by side.
One specific correction worth noting: the 2007-2013 Honda Fit uses this part number, not the D-series gasket. If you've seen it listed elsewhere under the D-series O-ring, that's wrong.
You Need Two
Read this before you check out, since these are sold individually. The water connecting pipe has a gasket at each end, so a complete job takes two. Order one and you'll be halfway through with a leak still on the other side.
And there's no good reason to reuse the second one. Both gaskets have lived the same life under the same heat for the same number of years, so if one has hardened up, the other is right behind it. They're cheap, you're already in there, buy the pair.
Do It While You're In There
Getting to the water connecting pipe usually means having other things apart, so this is a part you replace opportunistically. If you're doing a water pump, a timing belt, a head gasket, a coolant system refresh, or building an engine on a stand, put fresh gaskets on the pipe while you have access. Rubber this old is a known wear item, and coming back for it later means tearing things apart a second time over a couple of dollars in parts.
Use The Genuine Gasket
This seals a coolant passage, so it's not a spot to gamble. The gasket has to seat correctly in that flared end and stay pliable through years of heat cycling, and a generic O-ring that's close on dimensions but wrong on material will harden and leak sooner. This is the exact part Honda spec'd, so it fits the flare properly and seals the way it's supposed to. On something this inexpensive, buying the correct piece is an easy call.
