Honda OEM Taillight Gasket - 2009-2013 Honda Fit (2nd Gen)
Got water getting into your Fit's taillight housing or trunk? The taillight gasket's probably dried out, cracked, or torn. This is the genuine Honda taillight gasket for the 2nd gen Fit (2009-2013). The 2nd gen Fit actually uses two different gaskets across its production run. The 2009-2011 uses part number 33502-TF0-J01, and the 2012-2013 uses a slightly larger gasket with part number 33502-TK6-A01. Make sure you're ordering the right one for your year. Both are sold individually so you can replace just the side that's leaking without buying two.
Two Different Gaskets for the Same Generation
Honda made a slight change to the taillight gasket size partway through the 2nd gen Fit's run. The 2009-2011 and 2012-2013 gaskets look similar but they're not interchangeable. The 2012-2013 gasket is slightly larger. Using the wrong one for your year means it won't seal properly and you'll still have water in the housing. Double check your year before ordering.
Why Taillight Gaskets Fail
The taillight gaskets on older Fits dry out and crack over time from heat cycling and UV exposure. Once they're not sealing properly, water gets into the taillight housing and causes condensation, rust on the bulb sockets, and eventually corrodes the wiring. Replacing the gasket before it gets to that point saves you from a much more expensive repair down the road.
Sold Individually
These gaskets are sold one at a time so you can replace just the driver's side or just the passenger's side without paying for both. If only one side's leaking, you only need one gasket.
