Haltech Platinum Pro Plug and Play ECU - 2000-2005 Honda S2000 (AP1/AP2)
Want a standalone ECU for your AP1 or early AP2 S2000 that plugs straight into the factory harness? The Haltech Platinum Pro is a plug-and-play replacement for the factory ECU. You unplug the stock ECU, plug the Platinum Pro into the factory harness, load a base map, and you're ready to tune. No cutting wires, no splicing, no standalone harness. It uses all your factory sensors and supports VTEC control, sequential injection, direct fire ignition, and most of the factory outputs. You'll still need to tune it, but the installation's straightforward.
Direct Plug and Play, No Rewiring
The Platinum Pro plugs directly into your factory ECU connectors. You're not cutting the factory harness or running a standalone wiring setup. It uses all the factory sensors including MAP, TPS, knock, narrowband O2, coolant temp, air temp, and vehicle speed. It also controls all the factory outputs like fuel injectors, ignition coils, fuel pump, idle control, thermofan, VTEC solenoid, and the factory coolant gauge. If you want to go back to stock later, you just unplug the Haltech and plug the factory ECU back in.
Real-Time Tuning with Wideband Auto-Tune
The Platinum Pro supports real-time tuning through USB, so you can adjust maps while the engine's running without lag. It's got fully user-definable 32x32 fuel and ignition maps, and you can tune via volumetric efficiency (VE) or injection time. If you've got a wideband O2 sensor, the ECU supports auto-tuning using a user-definable target AFR table, which speeds up the tuning process. It also supports closed-loop O2 control, knock control, long-term fuel trim, and boost control.
Built-In MAP Sensor, Supports Up to 22 PSI Boost
The Platinum Pro has a built-in MAP sensor rated to 150 kPa (22 psi boost). If you're running a turbo or supercharger setup under 22 psi, you don't need an external MAP sensor. If you're running more than 22 psi, you'll need to add an external MAP sensor through the auxiliary I/O harness.
Expansion I/O for Additional Sensors and Outputs
The Platinum Pro has expansion I/O that gives you 2 analog voltage inputs, 2 analog temperature inputs, and 4 digital outputs. You'll need to buy the auxiliary harness separately (Haltech part number HT040003) to access these inputs and outputs. The expansion I/O lets you add things like wideband O2 sensors, fuel pressure sensors, oil pressure sensors, oil temp sensors, boost control, nitrous activation, flat shift, and more.
Non Drive-By-Wire Only
This ECU only works with non drive-by-wire S2000s. That means 2000-2004 AP1 models and 2005 AP2 models with cable throttle. If you've got a 2006+ AP2 with drive-by-wire throttle, this ECU won't work.
