Goodridge G-Stop Stainless Brake Line Kit - 2006-2011 Honda Civic Si/EX (Rear Disc)

The 8th-gen Civic Si is a K20 car people drive hard and track, and the factory rubber brake lines are the weak link when you do. Under hard or repeated braking, the rubber lines flex and expand under pressure, so part of your pedal effort balloons the lines instead of clamping the brakes, and the pedal goes soft right when you're leaning on it. These Goodridge braided stainless lines fix that: a PTFE inner line in a stainless steel braid that doesn't expand, so the pedal stays firm and consistent. On a Civic Si or EX that sees track days or hard driving, it's one of the most worthwhile brake upgrades you can make.

Fits Rear-Disc Cars (Si/EX)

Important fitment note, so check before ordering.

This kit is for the 2006-2011 Civic trims with rear disc brakes, which is the Si and EX. The lower trims with rear drum brakes use a different setup, so this kit is specifically for the rear-disc cars. If you've got an Si or an EX, you have rear discs and this is your kit; if you're not sure, look at your rear brakes, a rotor and caliper means rear disc and this fits.

Why Braided Lines Firm Up The Pedal

Here's what's actually happening, and what these do and don't change.

Rubber brake lines flex and expand under the pressure of hard braking, and that expansion is what you feel as a soft, spongy pedal, part of your foot pressure is stretching the lines instead of applying the brakes. It gets worse the harder and more repeatedly you brake, and as the factory rubber ages.

The stainless braid around these Goodridge lines doesn't expand the way rubber does, so all your pedal pressure goes straight to the calipers. The result is a firmer, more responsive pedal with a consistent, linear feel that holds up under hard, repeated braking where rubber lines go soft. To be clear about what braided lines do: they improve pedal feel and consistency, they're not a substitute for better pads, rotors, or tires if you're chasing shorter stopping distances, but for how the brakes feel and respond, especially a pedal that stays firm through a track session, the difference is immediate and genuine. On a tracked 8th-gen Si, a firm, predictable pedal is real braking confidence.

PTFE Core, Stainless Braid

The construction is what makes them firm and durable.

Each line is a PTFE inner line (which handles brake fluid and heat without degrading) inside a braided stainless steel outer that provides the firmness and protects the line from abrasion and corrosion. Stainless braided lines hold up far better over time than rubber, which cracks and degrades with age, and they look the part under the car too.

Goodridge is the name in braided brake lines, developed for motorsport, and these go through a nine-point quality-assurance process, each line tested for tensile strength and pressure-rated to 3,000 psi. They meet FMVSS 106 (the federal brake-hose safety standard), are DOT certified, and are TÜV approved, so they're properly certified, not just a cosmetic braided line.

Complete Kit, Direct Bolt-On

Everything for the install is in the box.

This is a complete set of lines replacing all the rubber lines in the system, with the hardware to fit them, so there's nothing else to source. The hose ends and brackets are made to match your factory design, so it's a direct bolt-on replacement using your factory calipers with no modification. It's a straightforward swap, you're replacing the lines one for one and bleeding the system.

They're ABS-compatible, and on ABS-equipped cars they also help reduce the pedal chatter you can feel through soft rubber lines.

Fitment

2006-2011 Honda Civic Si and EX (rear disc brakes)

For rear-disc cars only. Complete kit with hardware. Direct fit, works with factory calipers.

This is for the 8th-gen Civic Si or EX owner who tracks or hard-drives the car and wants a firmer, more consistent brake pedal instead of one that goes soft under repeated braking. PTFE-core stainless braided lines that don't balloon like rubber, a complete direct-bolt-on kit replacing all the rubber lines, motorsport-grade certification, and durable construction that outlasts the aging factory rubber. It won't shorten your stopping distances on its own, but it firms up the pedal and makes hard braking confident and consistent. Confirm you've got rear disc brakes (Si and EX do), bolt them on, bleed the brakes, and feel the difference the first time you push the pedal.

Fits: 2006-2011 Honda Civic Si and EX with rear disc brakes. Type: braided stainless steel brake line kit, complete set. Construction: PTFE inner line, braided stainless steel outer, 3,000 psi rated. Benefit: firmer, more consistent pedal that holds up under hard braking; eliminates the sponginess from flexing rubber lines. Includes: full set of lines with hardware. Install: direct bolt-on, works with factory calipers. Certification: FMVSS 106, DOT certified, TÜV approved. Note: for rear-disc cars (Si/EX), not rear-drum trims.
