Golden Era Parts Door Side Molding Clips - 1990-1991 Honda CRX (Both Doors)
Is your CRX door side molding sagging, rattling, or hanging on by a thread? After three decades, the little clips holding that trim strip to your doors go brittle and snap, and once they let go, the molding droops, buzzes over bumps, and eventually drops off entirely. Since Honda's not exactly stocking these anymore, Golden Era Parts reproduced them. This is a full kit for both doors, 10 clips plus 2 nuts, so you can get the trim on both sides sitting tight and straight again.
Important: Narrow-Style Molding Only
Read this before you order, because it's the thing that'll trip you up. These fit the 1990-1991 CRX with the narrow-style molding only. If your car has the wider molding, this isn't the right clip set for you, so double-check which style you've got before you buy. Getting this right up front saves you a return.
The Difference That Counts: Not 3D Printed
Here's what really separates these from a lot of what's out there. Plenty of reproduction clips are 3D printed, and that stuff tends to be brittle, a little off dimensionally, and prone to breaking or not fitting quite right. Golden Era didn't cut that corner. These are properly injection molded from nylon, made exactly to the original Honda specification down to the details. So they clip in and grip your molding the way the factory parts did, which is exactly what you want when you're putting real work into a restoration.
One Thing To Know About The Front Clip
Heads-up on a detail specific to these doors: the front-most clip on each door isn't a separate piece. On the original molding it's an integral, molded-in clip and cap assembly, so it can't just be swapped out, and it's not included in this set. If that front clip on your original molding is damaged, you may be able to extract and use one of the clips from this kit as a workaround, but know going in that there's no dedicated replacement for that specific spot. It replaces factory part numbers 75328-SH2-003 (Clip A, Molding), ten of them, and 75807-671-010 (Nut, Side Protector, black), two of them. That's the full set of hardware to re-secure your driver and passenger side moldings.
