Exedy Stage 2 Cerametallic Thin-Disc Clutch Kit for H and F-Series - Part #08901
Exedy's 08901 is the track Stage 2 for the H22 Prelude and the F-series Accord and CL. High-clamp cover, cerametallic thin disc on a sprung hub, roughly half the disc mass of stock so the synchros stop fighting fast shifts. Exedy recommends the thin disc for circuit use. For a street Prelude, the thick-disc 08952 is the one to buy.
What It Is and Why It Works
H-series transmissions are known for tired synchros, and a lot of that is input-shaft inertia during the shift. A thin cerametallic disc cuts that mass hard: shifts are faster, the third-gear crunch gets rarer, and the clutch releases cleaner at high rpm. The cost is heat capacity. Less material means it glazes sooner if it gets slipped in traffic every day.
The cover is ductile iron with about 40 percent more clamp than the Honda plate, and the disc keeps a sprung hub so the gearset isn't taking raw shock. Together it holds a cammed or lightly boosted H22 that would smoke a Stage 1 organic.

What to Know Before You Buy
Resurface or replace the flywheel. Thin discs chatter on a wavy face. FWHDA01 is the new OE-spec flywheel if yours is cracked or cut thin.
500 easy miles before you race it. Cerametallic launched cold never holds rated torque.
Replacement disc is HD06, shared with the B-series thin-disc kits. Budget for one on a track car.
