Exedy Stage 2 Cerametallic Thin-Disc Clutch Kit for B-Series Hydro - Part #08900B
This is the track version of Exedy's B-series Stage 2. Same high-clamp pressure plate as the thick-disc kit, but the cerametallic disc is roughly half stock thickness, which cuts rotating inertia enough that the synchros stop fighting you on fast shifts. Exedy recommends it for circuit use only, and they mean it. If you want a Stage 2 that also drives to work, that's the thick-disc 08901.
What It Is and Why It Works
Shift speed on a B-series is limited by how fast the synchro can match the input shaft to the next gear, and that's a function of how much the clutch disc weighs. The thin disc drops that inertia hard. Shifts get faster, synchro life goes up, and the clutch releases cleaner at high rpm. The cost is heat capacity: less material means the disc soaks up less abuse before it glazes, so it's a bad choice for a car that slips the clutch in traffic every day.
The pressure plate is a ductile-iron Stage cover with about 40 percent more clamp load than the Honda plate. Sprung hub on the disc so the gearset isn't taking the full shock of a puck clutch. Together it holds a built B18C or a turbo B16 that would smoke a Stage 1 organic.

What to Know Before You Buy
Resurface or replace the flywheel. Thin discs are less forgiving of a wavy friction surface than thick ones, and chatter on a fresh install is almost always the flywheel.
Bed it in for 500 street miles before you race it, even though it's a track clutch. Cerametallic that gets cooked before it seats never holds rated torque.
Replacement disc is HD06. Budget for one; the thin disc is a consumable on a track car.
