If you're running the Exedy Stage 2 3-puck kit (08951 or 08951FW) on your RSX or Civic Si and the disc is used up, this is the disc that goes back in. It's the same thick cerametallic 3-puck, sprung-hub disc the kit shipped with, sold on its own so you don't buy a second pressure plate you don't need.

What It Is and Why It Works

Cerametallic pucks hold heat and clamp load that an organic disc can't. Exedy's thick version keeps more friction material on the puck than the thin track disc, so it survives repeated hard launches and track sessions without glazing. The sprung center hub soaks up some of the shock that a solid-hub disc sends straight into the K-series gearset, which matters on a car that still gets driven on the street.

Three pucks means less inertia than a full-face disc and quicker shifts, but engagement is on or off. There's no slipping this thing smoothly out of a parking spot. That's the tradeoff you already made when you bought the 08951 kit; the replacement disc doesn't change it. If you want the four-puck version with slightly softer engagement, that's HD10T1, which pairs with the 08951P4 kit.

Fitment follows the 08951 kit. Any K-series that takes the 215mm 24-spline Stage 2 kit takes this disc.

What to Know Before You Buy

Measure the pressure plate before you reuse it. If the diaphragm fingers are blued or the friction face is grooved past a light resurface, a new disc on a tired plate will chatter and wear fast. Same for the flywheel: resurface it or the fresh pucks will bed into the old glaze pattern.

Bed it in gently. Around 500 miles of normal driving before you beat on it, no launches, no long slips. Cerametallic that gets cooked in the first hundred miles never seats right.

This disc is for the 08951-series pressure plate only. It will not work with the Hyper Single (that's DH04D) or with a stock cover.
