Exedy Hyper Compe-R Twin Cerametallic Clutch and Flywheel Kit for K-Series - Part #HM032SBL
563 lb-ft at the wheels. That's Exedy's rating for the K-series Compe-R twin, and it's the number that puts this clutch in a different class from anything with one disc. Rigid 200mm cerametallic plates, forged aluminum cover, drilled chromoly flywheel, SFI 1.2/1.5. It's for a big-turbo K20 or K24 that races, and it drives like it.
What It Is and Why It Works
Two discs double the friction area without doubling the diameter, so the twin holds far more torque than a single while carrying less inertia. The Compe-R discs are rigid, no sprung hub, so engagement is instant and there's no damper to fatigue. It also means every idle pulse and shift shock goes straight into the gearset; rigid twins rattle at idle and that's normal.
The forged cover doesn't flex, which lets Exedy run a lever ratio that keeps the pedal manageable at 2,427 lb of clamp. The grooved center plate helps the discs release cleanly at high rpm. The drilled chromoly flywheel ships in the box and it's light, so a stock-tune 12-15 Si will stall and hunt until it's retuned for the lower inertia.

What to Know Before You Buy
Buy HCAK103 with it. No release bearing, pilot bearing or alignment tool in the kit, and the stock bearing won't fit the forged cover.
Rigid discs and daily driving don't mix well. If you need twin capacity with some manners, Exedy's Compe-D version uses damper discs; ask us.
Bed it in for 500 easy miles before you lean on it, and if you're on a 12-15 Si, have the retune ready before the car comes off the lift.
