Energy Suspension Motor Mount Inserts for 92-00 Civic and Del Sol
If your EG or EK Civic hops, bucks, and clunks when you get on it, your soft factory motor mounts are letting the engine rock around in the bay. These Energy Suspension inserts fix that without making you buy full replacement mounts. They're polyurethane pieces that pack into the hollow voids in your existing stock mounts, filling the empty space that lets the engine move so the drivetrain stays put under load.
The difference shows up the first time you launch. Owners consistently report that these kill the first-gear bucking and wheel hop, tighten up throttle response, and sharpen clutch feel, because the power's going to the wheels instead of getting soaked up by the engine flopping on worn mounts. The set covers three torque mount positions (the two lower fronts and the rear), and the polyurethane shrugs off the oil and heat that tears up the soft factory rubber. They even firm up mounts that are already worn or slightly torn, which makes them a cheap way to bring a tired EG/EK back to life.
The honest tradeoff: expect more vibration
This is the important part, so read it before you buy. Those voids in your stock mounts are there on purpose, to absorb engine vibration and keep it out of the cabin. Filling them in does the opposite. You will feel and hear more engine vibration and buzz than stock, especially at idle and in gear. That's normal and expected with any motor mount insert, not a sign anything's wrong. On a built or hard-driven car it's a fair trade for the tighter drivetrain feel. If your Civic is a comfort-first daily, know that going in.

These are inserts, not full mounts, so you reuse your stock mounts and press the poly into the voids. Red and black are the same hardness, the black is graphite-impregnated to be slightly more self-lubricating while red is purely a color choice. Confirm your car is a 92-00 Civic or 93-97 Del Sol before ordering, and note this set is not for the 99-00 Si (EM1), which uses different mounts.
