Energy Suspension Master Bushing Kit for 06-11 Civic Si

This is the do-it-all bushing kit for the 8th gen Si. Instead of chasing one worn bushing at a time, the master set replaces every major suspension bushing on the car with polyurethane in one shot: front and rear control arm bushings, knuckle bushings, and front and rear sway bar bushings. If your Si has 100k-plus miles on tired factory rubber, this is how you make the whole chassis feel tight again.

The factory bushings are soft rubber, which is great for a quiet showroom ride and not great for a car you actually drive. As they age and crack, the suspension develops slop: vague steering, wheel hop off the line, a sway bar that floats around instead of doing its job, and body roll that shows up mid-corner. Swapping the full set for Energy's Hyper-Flex polyurethane locks all of that down. The car turns in sharper, stays planted under braking, puts power down cleaner, and holds its alignment better because nothing's flexing where it shouldn't. Polyurethane also shrugs off oil, coolant, and UV that rot rubber, so it lasts far longer.

Is the master kit the right move for you?

Be honest with yourself about the job before you buy. If you want the entire chassis refreshed and you're already going deep on a suspension refresh, the master kit is the best value, buying every position separately costs more than this bundle. But it's a big install: every bushing has to be pressed out and pressed in, and most people pull the control arms, knuckles, and sway bar to do it. That's a weekend in the garage with a press, or a chunk of shop labor. If you just want to kill wheel hop and sharpen steering for now, the front control arm set alone gets you most of the feel for a fraction of the work, and you can always do the rest later.

The kit comes with Energy's Formula 5 prelube. Use plenty of it on every bushing during install, that's the single biggest thing that keeps poly bushings from squeaking later. Grab an extra tub if you want to be generous, since running short is the most common install regret.

One thing to know going in: polyurethane transmits more road feel and noise than the soft factory rubber. On a built or track-driven Si that's exactly the point. On a comfort-first daily, expect a firmer, more connected feel with a bit more chatter. Red and black are the same hardness, the black is graphite-impregnated to be slightly more self-lubricating while red is purely a color choice. Confirm your car is an 06-11 Si before ordering.
