Energy Suspension Master Bushing Kit for 02-05 Civic Si
If your EP3 Civic Si feels vague, clunks over bumps, or has gone soft in the corners, the factory rubber bushings are usually why. After 20-plus years, that OE rubber is cracked and sagging, letting the control arms and sway bars move around under load. This Energy Suspension master kit replaces the major suspension bushings on your 02-05 Civic Si with polyurethane in one box, control arms and sway bars, front and rear, so the chassis tightens up everywhere at once instead of one worn bushing at a time.
The EP3 is a fun little hatch when the suspension is fresh, and this is one of the cheapest ways to get that feel back. Owners consistently describe the same thing after install: the car turns in sharper, feels more nimble, and holds a line through corners the way it did when it was new. The sway bar bushings tighten up body roll, the control arm bushings sharpen steering response and hold your alignment, and polyurethane shrugs off the oil and grime that rotted the originals, so this is a job you do once.
What's in the kit
This is a true front-and-rear kit for the EP3 chassis. It does not include shock bushings or steering rack bushings, so it covers the control arms and sway bars rather than literally every bushing on the car.

This fits the 02-05 Civic Si, the EP3 hatchback. Because it's built around the EP3 chassis, it also fits the JDM and European EP3 Civic Type R, which shares the same suspension. If you've got an EP3 Type R, this is the correct kit. Confirm your sway bar diameters match the 1 inch front and 15mm rear before ordering if your car has been modified.
What to know before you buy
First, the ride. Polyurethane is firmer than rubber, so you'll feel and hear more of the road than you did on stock bushings, especially over expansion joints and rough pavement. On an EP3 you actually enjoy driving, that connected feel is the whole point. If your Si is a comfort-first daily, know that going in.
Second, the install. This is a real job, not a bolt-on afternoon. Every bushing has to be pressed out and pressed in, and on a 20-year-old car the old rubber is often seized into the shells, so a press or shop time makes it far easier. The single most important install step is grease: use plenty of the included Formula 5 on every bushing. The most common complaint about poly bushings is squeak, and it almost always comes down to not greasing them enough on the way in. Do that part right and they stay quiet.
Third, while you're under there. The EP3 motor mounts are usually as tired as the suspension bushings by now, so a lot of Si owners pair this kit with Energy's EP3 motor mount inserts to tie the drivetrain down at the same time. Red and black are the same polyurethane at the same hardness, so it's purely a color choice. The black is graphite-impregnated to be slightly more self-lubricating, while red is just the look.
