This is what you buy when you've broken everything else. Rated to 1,800 horsepower, the Pro-Elite kit uses the same construction Driveshaft Shop developed for their highest-end applications, brought down to the B-series platform where competitive cars are pushing well past what standard axles will survive. Complete kit with axles, 33-spline hubs, ARP studs, and a 28-spline intermediate bar.

Read This First: What You Need To Have

Four requirements, and none of them are negotiable. Work through these before you order, because this is not a part you want sitting in a box while you source prerequisites.

You need a large bearing ABS-style spindle. Specifically the 1.695" inside diameter spindle, which came on EX and Si Civics and on 94-01 Integras. If your car has the smaller spindle, that's a change you'll need to make first.

You need a 28-spline LSD. The kit is built around it. Wavetrac works, part 60.309.260wk for the LS and B16 small ring gear or 60.309.280wk for the GS-R large pattern. Quaife's QDF27U also works. Not included.

You need the OEM hanger bearing and bracket for the intermediate shaft. Not included.

These won't work with previous generation Pro-Level hubs. If you're already running Pro-Level, the hubs in this kit replace them rather than working alongside.

What Makes Pro-Elite Different From Pro-Level

Fair question if you're already running Driveshaft Shop hardware, and the answer is materials throughout.

Pro-Elite uses 300M for the axle bars, the splined wheel stub, and the intermediate bar, with proprietary 4340 modular design chromoly outer CV housings and a 300M differential spline plug.

300M is a genuinely different tier of material. It's a high-strength alloy used where failure isn't an acceptable outcome, and it's what lets these survive record-setting quarter mile passes round after round rather than being a one-event part.

The 33-spline hubs and 28-spline intermediate bar are both larger than the previous generation, which is the other half of the story. More spline engagement means load spread over more material.

When You Actually Need This

Being straight, because this is expensive and most cars don't need it.

If you're making moderate power on a B-series, standard reinforced axles will serve you well. Pro-Elite exists for a specific situation: a drag or competition car making serious power where axles have become the thing that fails.

If you've broken axles before, if you're launching hard on sticky tires, or if you're building toward four-digit power, this is what stops that from being your recurring problem. Rated to 1,800 horsepower, it's the top of the range for this platform, which means most builds will never find its limit. If you're building a fast street car, this is more axle than the application needs.

Worth stating clearly. Once these are installed they can't be returned, which is standard for driveline components of this type but worth knowing before you commit.

That's another reason to confirm your spindles, your differential, and your hanger bearing before ordering rather than after. Sort the requirements first, then buy.
