Competition Clutch 2100 Series Stage 2 Clutch Kit - 1990-1993 Acura Integra 1.8L

Your Integra's clutch is slipping. Maybe you've added power. Maybe you've been launching it and beating on it. Maybe the stock clutch just wore out and you don't want to drop another tired OEM unit back in. The clutch is what connects your engine to the transmission. It hooks up the power, it disconnects it when you shift, and it takes all the abuse when you launch, when you're rowing through gears, and when you're sitting in traffic cooking everything. When the stock clutch hits its limit it starts slipping and you lose power to the wheels. The Competition Clutch 2100 Series Stage 2 fixes that. It's a street clutch that holds up to 80% more torque than stock. So you get real clamping power without going full race clutch that's miserable to daily. We run these exact parts on our own cars because they hold up when you actually drive the car hard.

Here's What The 2100 Series Stage 2 Gives You Over Stock

The stock clutch is fine for stock power. But once you've modified the engine or you're driving aggressively the factory clutch can't hold the torque anymore. It slips. You feel the RPM jump without the car accelerating like it should. That's the clutch giving up. The 2100 Series Stage 2 steps the torque capacity up to 80% over stock. That's enough headroom for aggressive street use and moderate track use. The pressure plate clamps harder. The disc grabs and holds. You're putting your power to the ground instead of slipping it away. The Brass Plus material with its alloy backing matched to the performance pressure plate gives you smooth engagement and a clutch that lasts.

Sprung Hub Disc - Still Streetable

This kit uses a high torque sprung hub disc. That matters if you're still driving the car on the street. The springs in the hub add some give to the driveline so engagement isn't harsh and jarring. You're not getting that violent on-off feel that a rigid hub gives you. It's still a single disc setup just like your Integra came with so it engages in a way that feels familiar. The disc uses steel-backed Brass Plus friction facings with an anti-burst design. They grab hard and they hold up to heat without falling apart.

Two Part Numbers - Match Yours To Your Year

There are two part numbers in this kit depending on your year. The 8017-2100 fits the 1990-1991 Integra 1.8L. The 8027-2100 fits the 1992-1993 Integra GS, LS, and RS. Both are the same 2100 Series Stage 2 setup. Just make sure you grab the one that matches your car so everything bolts up right.

It's A Clutch Job - Do It Right And Break It In

This is a clutch assembly so treat it like a normal clutch job. Check your flywheel friction surface before you put everything together. Don't skip that step unless you want chatter and hot spots ruining your new clutch. Use the included alignment tool to center the disc before you torque the pressure plate down. Get that wrong and you'll fight to get the transmission back on. Once it's in you've got to break it in. A 300 mile break-in is required with this setup and 500 miles is highly recommended. Don't skip the break-in. Easy engagements during that window let the friction surfaces seat properly so the clutch lasts. The kit comes with applicable bearings but verify exactly what bearings you're getting for your specific Integra before you tear it apart. Some kits may not include every piece pictured so confirm with Competition Clutch before ordering. While you're in there grab anything else you want to replace so you're not back in the same spot in six months.
