What It Is and Why It Works

Street Pro is Cometic's complete-kit line using the same materials as their individual race gaskets. The head gasket is an 82mm .030 MLS: embossed Viton-coated stainless outer layers over a stainless center shim, sealed dry with no re-torque, heat resistant to 482F. The 82mm fire ring covers the stock 81mm bore as well as 81.5mm and 82mm overbores, which is why one kit serves stock rebuilds and mild builds alike. Around the head gasket, the box carries the full supporting cast for a B-series head job, including both throttle body gasket variants so the kit covers the OBD1 and OBD2 cars without guesswork.

Covers the B16A2, B16A3, and B18C5. The GS-R's B18C1 uses its own kit number (PRO2003T) because the intake manifold and throttle body gaskets differ.

What to Know Before You Buy

Check your engine code, not just the chassis. This kit fits the B16A2, B16A3, and the Type R's B18C5; a GS-R's B18C1 needs the PRO2003T kit, which we stock, because the dual-runner intake manifold seals differently. The 82mm gasket is correct for stock 81mm bores through 82mm overbores, but a block bored past 82mm needs a bigger fire ring, and Cometic makes the head gasket in larger bores as a standalone part. If the whole engine is apart, add the matching Street Pro bottom end kit and the reseal is complete from oil pan to valve cover.
