Clutch Masters FX100 Clutch & Flywheel Kit - 2012-2015 Honda Civic Si & 2013-2015 Acura ILX
You know that feeling where you get on it in third, the revs climb, but the car doesn't quite go with them? Maybe you've caught a whiff of that hot-clutch smell after a hard pull. That's your Si clutch slipping, and it's not coming back. This Clutch Masters FX100 kit is a great way to fix it and pick up some muscle while you're at it, it grabs about 70% more holding power than stock, comes with the flywheel, and still drives smooth enough to sit in traffic without hating your life. There's just one call you've got to make before you order, so let's get that sorted first.
Read This First: You're Picking Between Two Kits
Here's the thing that trips people up, so let's knock it out up front. Two quick facts. One, this is a flywheel conversion, both versions come with a Clutch Masters flywheel, and your stock one won't work with this clutch, so don't plan on reusing it. Two, there are two versions, and the only question you need to answer is: are you running a Hondata FlashPro (or another engine management setup), or not?
- No FlashPro? Grab kit 08320. It comes with an OEM-weight flywheel (FW-320-SF), so nothing about your engine's behavior changes, no tune needed, no check engine light, no headaches. You just bolt in a fresh clutch and flywheel and drive. If you want this done simple, this is your kit.
- Got a FlashPro? Go with kit 08240. This one comes with a lightweight flywheel (FW-037-SF), and that lighter flywheel wakes the car up, quicker revs, snappier throttle, more eager off idle. The catch: because it's lighter than stock, the car will throw a check engine light unless it's tuned, so a FlashPro or similar is a must. Tune it and you get that lively lightweight-flywheel feel. Skip the tune and you'll be chasing a CEL, so don't grab this one without the FlashPro to back it up.
Simple version: no tune, get the 08320. Running a tune and want the sharper feel, get the 08240. Pick right and you're golden.
Who This Clutch Is Really For
Let's be straight so you get the right clutch for your build. The FX100 is the streetable one, dialed in for a Si or ILX that's daily-driven with some bolt-ons, an intake, an exhaust, maybe a little shot of nitrous (up to around 50 horsepower), that kind of thing. For a car like that, it's the sweet spot: enough extra clamp to hold your power without slipping, longer life than the stock clutch, and none of the brutal on-off harshness a full race clutch punishes you with in traffic. If you're boosted or chasing big numbers, you'll want to step up to a stronger FX level, but for a clean street car, this hits it. And on the ILX, just make sure you've got the 2.4L, the one sharing the K24Z7 with the Si, not the 2.0L or hybrid.
It Holds More But Still Drives Like A Honda Should
This is the part that makes it livable. Even with that 70% bump in holding capacity from the Power Plus I heavy-duty pressure plate, it doesn't beat you up. The steel-backed organic disc runs a Marcel spring wafer between the friction faces, and that's what gives you soft, progressive take-up instead of a grabby on-off bite, so it engages clean and smooth every single time. Pedal feel is only a hair heavier than stock. You get the grip to actually use your power without turning your left leg into a workout at every red light.

Fits These Cars
- 2012-2015 Honda Civic Si (K24Z7)
- 2013-2015 Acura ILX (2.4L, K24Z7)
Note: Clutch Masters FX100 clutch and flywheel kit for the 2012-2015 Honda Civic Si and 2013-2015 Acura ILX, both running the K24Z7; on the ILX this fits the 2.4L, not the 2.0L or hybrid. Provides approximately 70% more holding capacity than stock using the Power Plus I heavy-duty pressure plate and a steel-backed organic disc with a Marcel spring wafer for smooth engagement. This is a flywheel conversion kit; both versions include a Clutch Masters flywheel and will not work with the stock OEM flywheel. Kit 08320 includes an OEM-weight flywheel (FW-320-SF) and does not require aftermarket engine management. Kit 08240 includes a lighter-than-OEM flywheel (FW-037-SF) for quicker response but requires a Hondata FlashPro or other engine management, since the lighter flywheel triggers a check engine light if not properly tuned. The FX100 is the streetable performance level, suited to street-driven cars with minor bolt-ons such as intake and exhaust, up to about 50hp of nitrous, or other non-forced-induction modifications; higher-power or forced-induction builds should step up to a stronger FX level. Includes the disc, pressure plate, the applicable Clutch Masters flywheel, an OEM-or-better release bearing, a pilot bearing (when applicable), an alignment tool, an instruction card, and decals. Clutch life is affected by installation, driving style, added performance, break-in procedure, and lightweight flywheels, and is not guaranteed. One clutch and flywheel kit per order.
