Brian Crower H-Beam Connecting Rods - Honda/Acura B-Series
The connecting rods tie your pistons to the crankshaft, and on a built B-series they're one of the parts you upgrade before you make serious power, because a factory rod is a known failure point when you push past stock. These Brian Crower H-beam rods replace them with forged 4340 chromoly, stronger, lighter, and built to handle the RPM and load a built B18 throws at them, with ARP2000 bolts for the clamping force that keeps them together. Offered for the B18A/B18B and the B18C, so pick the version for your engine.
Pick Your Engine
These come in two versions for the different B18 rods, so match yours.
B18A / B18B (BC6057) is for the non-VTEC LS/RS/GS Integra engines (1990-2001). These rods are 5.394" center-to-center, 440 grams, torqued to 45 ft-lbs.
B18C1 / B18C5 (BC6056) is for the VTEC GS-R and Type R engines. These are 5.433" center-to-center, 426 grams (lighter), torqued to 50-55 ft-lbs, and rated to 400 whp.
The two share the same fundamental design but have engine-specific dimensions, so order the version that matches your B18, not the chassis, since the Integra came with both VTEC and non-VTEC B18s.
Why You Upgrade The Rods
The connecting rod takes enormous load, it's yanked and slammed thousands of times a minute transferring the piston's force to the crank, and that load climbs sharply with RPM and power. The factory cast or powder-metal rods are adequate for stock output, but they're a weak point once you add power, rev higher, or run a power adder. A bent or broken rod is catastrophic, it usually takes the block and everything with it.
Forged H-beam rods like these are dramatically stronger. Forging aligns the metal's grain for maximum strength, and the H-beam cross-section is an efficient shape that's rigid and strong while staying light. For a B18 that's going to make real power or see high RPM, upgraded rods are what keep the bottom end together where factory rods would eventually let go.
Forged 4340 Chromoly, Lightweight
The construction is proper race-rod spec.
They're forged from aerospace-grade 4340 chromoly steel, the standard material for a quality performance rod, strong and fatigue-resistant under the cyclic loading a rod lives with. Each rod is CNC machined and micropolished, the polished surface finish isn't just cosmetic, it removes the stress risers where a rod can start to crack, so a polished rod resists fatigue better. They're finish-honed to exacting tolerances for a precise fit on the crank journal.
These are the lightweight version, lower reciprocating mass means the engine revs more freely and there's less stress on the rotating assembly, which matters for a high-revving B-series. The small ends use aluminum/silicone/bronze pin bushings for a true floating wrist pin.
ARP2000 Bolts
The rod bolts matter as much as the rod.
These come with ARP2000 rod bolts, ARP being the standard in high-strength fasteners. The rod bolts clamp the rod cap to the rod around the crank journal, and they're under enormous repeated load, a failed rod bolt means a thrown rod and a destroyed engine. ARP2000 bolts provide the clamping force and fatigue resistance to hold under high RPM, so the hardware isn't the weak link. No sourcing bolts separately or trusting lesser hardware on a part this critical.

B18A / B18B (BC6057): 1990-2001 Acura Integra LS, RS, GS (non-VTEC B18)
B18C1 / B18C5 (BC6056): 1994-2001 Integra GS-R (B18C1), 1997-2001 Integra Type R (B18C5)
Select the version matching your engine. Forged 4340 chromoly, ARP2000 bolts.
If you're building a B18 bottom end for serious power or high RPM, these are the rods that handle it, forged 4340 H-beam, micropolished, with ARP2000 bolts, in the version matched to your engine. They pair with forged pistons and fresh bearings as the core of a built rotating assembly. Match your engine, torque them to spec, and build a bottom end that holds together.
