ARP Ultra Torque Fastener Assembly Lubricant - Part #100-9908 / #100-9909 / #100-9910
Every torque figure printed on an ARP instruction card assumes the threads are coated in this stuff. Torque a head stud with motor oil instead and the friction is different, so the actual clamp load lands somewhere other than where ARP intended. That is why this little bottle shows up in the box with serious engine builds: it is not an accessory, it is part of the spec.
What It Is and Why It Works
Torque wrenches do not measure clamp load, they measure the twist it takes to overcome thread friction. With oil or generic moly, friction is highest on the first pull, so builders traditionally cycled fasteners five or more times to burnish the threads before the preload settled. Ultra Torque kills that ritual. It delivers 95 to 100 percent of ARP's recommended preload on the very first pull and holds it within 5 percent across every cycle after, so adjacent head studs end up evenly loaded instead of scattered. Even preload means less bore distortion, better ring seal, and a head gasket that actually gets the clamp it was designed around. The formula is a premium moly base with rust and corrosion inhibitors, effective from -30F to 550F with load capability to 500,000 psi.

Fitment
| Application | Coverage |
| Universal | All ARP fasteners and any threaded engine hardware |
Ultra Torque is the lube ARP's published torque specs assume. It is not engine-specific, and one bottle covers every fastener kit on the car.
What to Know Before You Buy
ARP publishes different torque values for the same fastener depending on the lube, and the lower Ultra Torque figure is the one on the current instruction cards, so follow the card that comes with your kit rather than an old forum post. Not every ARP kit ships with lube in the bag; accessory kits like pressure plate and flywheel bolts typically do not, which is exactly what the 0.50 oz packet is for. If the engine is coming fully apart, the 10 oz brush top pays for itself: head studs, main studs, rod bolts, and flywheel hardware all draw from the same bottle.
