ARP Pressure Plate Bolt Kits for Honda D-Series & B-Series - Part #108-2201 / #108-2202
Pressure plate bolts take a beating that most people never think about: every launch, every shift, every time the clutch grabs, the load on those six or nine little fasteners spikes. The factory bolts are fine behind a stock clutch. Behind a stage 2 disc and a sticky pressure plate spinning to 8,000 rpm, they are the cheapest part in the whole system and the last place to save twenty bucks.
What It Is and Why It Works
These are application-specific pressure plate (clutch cover) bolts from ARP's High Performance series: 8740 chromoly, heat-treated to 180,000 psi tensile strength, with a black oxide finish and washers included. The hex heads run a 10mm socket, and the large-diameter, low-profile head design keeps clearance to the clutch while spreading clamp load through the included washers. Thread is M8 x 1.25 on both kits, matched to the factory holes, so installation is a straight swap with the correct grip length for each engine family.

Pick the kit by the engine behind the clutch, not the chassis. SOHC D-series covers take the 6-piece 108-2201; DOHC B-series covers take the 9-piece 108-2202. A D-chassis car with a B swap needs the B kit.
What to Know Before You Buy
These are hex-head bolts that run a 10mm socket, not 12-point hardware, so a standard socket set handles the install. Torque them to the spec on the card in the bag, and use ARP Ultra Torque assembly lube on the threads since that is the friction the published figures assume. The bolts thread directly into the flywheel, so no nuts are needed and none are included. If you are doing the clutch anyway, ARP flywheel bolts (208-2801 for D, 208-2802 for B) are the matching upgrade one flange over. Some Honda specialists also list the 9-piece 108-2202 for K-series clutch covers, though ARP's own application chart keeps it at DOHC B-series.
