ARP Crank Pulley Bolt Kit for Honda B-Series B16 B18 B20 - Part #208-2501
The B-series crank pulley bolt is the one fastener on the engine that fights you both ways: it's a bear to get off, and once you've had it off, the factory bolt is a torque-to-yield part you're reusing on the fastener that keeps the timing pulley and damper registered to the crank. ARP's 208-2501 is the replacement, and it belongs in the parts pile for any timing belt job, damper swap, or rebuild on a B16, B17, B18, or B20.
What It Is and Why It Works
As the crank twists and flexes at high rpm, the damper absorbs that energy and the bolt is what keeps it clamped to the snout. ARP makes this one from 8740 chromoly heat treated to 190,000 psi, with an extra tall 12-point head that takes a deep 19mm socket and won't round off under a breaker bar, and a 1/4 inch thick wide-area washer that spreads the clamp load across the pulley face instead of digging into it. The thread is the factory M14 x 1.25 at 1.350 inch underhead length, so it drops in with no changes to the pulley or crank. One bolt and one washer per kit; it's not a set.

What to Know Before You Buy
You still need a crank pulley holder tool. This bolt makes the job cleaner, it doesn't make the pulley stop turning, so have the holder and a long breaker bar ready, and skip the impact gun on the install: torque it to the ARP card figure with ARP lube on the threads and under the head, because the published spec assumes that lube and not engine oil. The 12-point head needs a 12-point socket; a 6-point 19mm won't fit. If the pulley bolt was ever over-torqued or came out with damaged threads, run a thread chaser through the crank before this goes in. Grab a new timing belt tensioner and cam seals at the same time; the bolt is the cheap part of a job you don't want to repeat.
