PRODUCT DETAILS

APR Performance Carbon Fiber Radiator Cooling Panels - FK8, FL5 Civic Type R & DE5 Integra Type S

There are structural gaps above the radiator where cooling air escapes instead of passing through the core, which makes the radiator less efficient than it could be. These APR carbon panels close those gaps: the center panel channels air directly into the radiator, and the side panels dress the engine bay in real pre-preg carbon. Available for three chassis, and in three configurations so you can buy the pieces you want.

What Each Piece Does

Worth understanding, because the center and the sides do different jobs.

The center panel is the functional one. It closes the gap above the radiator and channels incoming air straight into the core rather than letting it spill over and around. On track, where consistent radiator efficiency keeps temperatures in check, that directed airflow is a real cooling benefit.

The side panels are primarily about the look, finishing the engine bay in carbon and hiding the structural gaps and plastic that otherwise clutter the sides. They complete the finished, race-inspired appearance the full set gives.

Being straight about it: the center is where the cooling function lives, and the sides are the dress-up. That's why they're sold separately, so you can buy the function, the look, or both.

Three Configurations, Pick What You Want

Choose based on whether you're after cooling, appearance, or the complete finished bay.

Center only gets you the functional air-channeling piece. If your priority is directing air to the radiator for track use, this is the one that does it.

Sides only dress the engine bay if you already have the center handled or only want the cosmetic finish along the sides.

Full 3-piece kit is center plus both sides, the complete setup for the best cooling and the fully finished carbon engine bay. This is what most people building the bay properly go for.

Pre-Preg Carbon That Takes The Heat

The material matters here specifically, because this lives in the hottest part of the car.

These are made with the pre-preg carbon fiber process, autoclave-cured under high heat and pressure, which produces a part durable enough to withstand elevated engine bay temperatures rather than warping or degrading. An engine bay panel has to survive heat that would deform lesser carbon.

The finish is a fade-resistant epoxy coating chosen specifically to resist the effects of high engine bay heat, so the carbon holds its appearance rather than yellowing or dulling from the temperatures it sits in. Between the pre-preg construction and the heat-resistant coating, these are built for where they live.

Easy, Factory-Spec Installation

The panels are designed to factory specifications, so they fit cleanly where they're meant to with a proper finish and no fettling. It's a straightforward install that dresses the bay and, with the center, improves airflow, without fabrication.

FL5 Also Fits The Non-Type R Hatch

Worth noting for a broader set of owners.

The FL5 version also fits the non-Type R Civic hatchback with some modification. So if you've got a Civic hatch rather than a Type R and want the carbon cooling panel look and function, it's an option, just plan for a bit of modification to make it fit.

Match Your Chassis And Configuration

Two things to select: your car, and which pieces you want.

Chassis: 2017-2021 Civic Type R (FK8), 2023-2026 Civic Type R (FL5), or 2024-2026 Integra Type S (DE5).

Configuration: center only, sides only, or the full 3-piece kit.

Select both at checkout to get the right panels for your car in the setup you want.

Fitment

2017-2021 Honda Civic Type R (FK8)
2023-2026 Honda Civic Type R (FL5)
2024-2026 Acura Integra Type S (DE5)

FL5 version also fits the non-Type R Civic hatchback with modification. Available as center only, sides only, or full 3-piece kit.

Who Should Grab These

This is for the Type R or Integra Type S owner who wants to finish the engine bay in real carbon and, with the center panel, actually direct more air into the radiator for track use. Pre-preg carbon that survives the heat, a fade-resistant finish, and factory-spec fit. Pick your chassis, choose the center for cooling, the sides for looks, or the full kit for both, and give the bay a proper race-inspired finish.

Fits: 2017-2021 Civic Type R (FK8), 2023-2026 Civic Type R (FL5), 2024-2026 Integra Type S (DE5). FL5 also fits non-Type R Civic hatch with modification. Configurations: center only (air channeling), sides only (cosmetic), or full 3-piece kit. Construction: pre-preg carbon fiber, autoclave cured. Finish: fade-resistant epoxy coating for engine bay heat. Function: center panel channels air to the radiator; sides dress the bay. Install: factory-spec fitment.
