APR Carbon Fiber Hood Scoop - 2017-2021 Civic Type R (FK8)

This is the same shape as the factory scoop, reproduced in carbon fiber. The main reason to fit it is appearance, swapping the plastic factory scoop for carbon on a prominent, right-in-your-eyeline part of the hood. On a car styled as aggressively as the FK8, a carbon scoop is a detail that stands out and ties into a carbon exterior build.
The scoop's job on the car is to help vent the engine bay, bringing cooler air under the hood and letting hot air escape, which also relieves a little pressure to reduce lift.
