Acura NSX Intake Manifold Gasket - 17105-PR7-A01
Got a vacuum leak on your NSX or you're doing intake manifold work? The Acura NSX intake manifold gasket (part number 17105-PR7-A01) seals your intake manifold to your cylinder head. Your C30A V6's got two intake manifolds (one per cylinder bank), so you need two gaskets if you're replacing both sides. The gasket comes with three O-rings pre-installed in the recesses. You're not buying separate O-rings or pressing them in yourself. Just bolt the gasket on and it seals.
Here's What This Gasket Does
Your intake manifold bolts to your cylinder head and the gasket seals the connection between them. When the gasket gets old from heat cycles, the plastic gets brittle and the O-rings get hard. Once the O-rings are hard, they don't seal properly and you get a vacuum leak. Unmetered air leaks into your intake manifold past the gasket. Your ECU doesn't know about the extra air, so your air/fuel ratio goes lean. You'll get rough idle, high idle, hesitation when you're accelerating, and your check engine light might come on with lean codes. Replace your intake manifold gaskets if you're getting vacuum leak symptoms or you're doing intake manifold work.
O-Rings Come Pre-Installed
The gasket's made from plastic and it's got three O-rings pressed into recesses in the gasket. The O-rings come pre-installed when you buy the gasket. You're not buying separate O-rings or pressing them in yourself. The O-rings are what actually seal the gasket to your cylinder head and intake manifold. When you bolt the intake manifold down, it compresses the O-rings and they seal.
Sold Individually, You Need Two
These gaskets are sold individually. Your NSX has two intake manifolds (one per cylinder bank), so you need two gaskets if you're replacing both sides. Order two gaskets if you're doing both banks. If you're just replacing one side, order one gasket.
