ACT HD Rigid Race Clutch Kits: AI2-HDR4 and AI2-HDR6
If you're choosing a race clutch for your 1990-1991 Integra, these ACT kits give you a ceramic disc with a rigid hub and the H025 Heavy Duty pressure plate. You'll choose four pads or six pads, but you won't get a higher torque rating by adding pads: ACT rates both kits at 310 lb-ft at the engine. Pick around the disc design you want and the way you'll use the car.
A race disc comes with a trade-off
ACT recommends both of these kits for race use only. You'll notice the aggressive engagement and increased gear rattle that ACT lists for these kits. ACT lists light to moderate pedal effort, but you'll still have that aggressive take-up to deal with. If you're choosing parts for a road car and want the clutch to feel like the original, you'll want a street disc instead.
You're choosing ACT's ceramic friction material for its heat tolerance. ACT uses a heat-treated chrome-moly hub in its rigid race discs, without the spring hub you'd find on a sprung disc. You'll have less cushion in the engagement with that rigid hub. ACT notes that the rigid design may increase spline wear. You'll want to consider that along with how you want the clutch to engage.
Both kits use ACT's H025 Heavy Duty pressure plate. ACT gives the diaphragm a four-stage heat treatment and uses a stamped cover for rigidity. With that diaphragm design, you're getting increased clamp load and reduced deflection. You'll have that same pressure plate with either disc, so the pad layout is the choice you're making between these kits.
Four pads or six pads
The AI2-HDR4 has the 4220012 four-pad rigid disc. ACT describes that layout as suited to smaller disc sizes and smaller engines. The AI2-HDR6 comes with the 6220012 six-pad rigid disc; ACT recommends its six-pad layout for larger clutch sizes to absorb more heat. On this Integra application, both supplied discs are 220 mm.
You'll need to keep that common size and rating in mind when comparing the two. The six-pad kit isn't a larger clutch for your car, and it doesn't raise the listed torque capacity above 310 lb-ft. Neither kit has a sprung hub. If that's the construction you want, you'll need a different ACT kit rather than choosing another option on this page.

If you've changed the engine or gearbox in your Integra, you'll need to match the clutch to the combination you've fitted. These AI2 kits are for the B18A1 five-speed application above. You can't choose a clutch for a swapped car from the B-series engine name alone.
What's included
| Component | Part number | Quantity |

You'll supply the flywheel separately. Before fitting the kit, check the flywheel and follow ACT's installation instructions for the clutch and your vehicle's procedure for the transmission work. ACT gives different break-in guidance for its race discs and organic street discs, so use the guidance for the disc you've bought. Don't carry an organic-disc mileage recommendation over to this kit.
Warranty
You'll have ACT's listed 12-month warranty with either kit. Keep your purchase documentation so you've got it if you need to make a claim, and check ACT's current terms.
