Whiteline Front Anti-Lift Kit (KCA467) - FK8 Civic Type R, Civic & Accord

An anti-lift kit is one of those modifications that sounds obscure until you understand what it fixes. On a front-drive car, hard acceleration lifts the nose, which unloads the front tires exactly when you're asking them to put power down and steer at the same time. This Whiteline kit reworks the front geometry so that stops happening, and the payoff is more traction under power and considerably sharper turn-in.

What Does An Anti-Lift Kit Actually Do?

Worth explaining properly, because most listings assume you already know.

When you accelerate hard, weight transfers rearward and the front of the car rises. On a front-driver that's the worst possible timing, because your front tires are doing all the work, putting down power and steering the car simultaneously, right as they're being unloaded. What you feel is wheelspin, a light steering feel, and understeer on corner exit.

The anti-lift kit changes the front control arm mounting geometry to resist that lift. The front stays planted under power, the tires stay loaded, and you get traction where you were losing it.

The second effect is caster. The kit increases static caster, which sharpens initial turn-in, improves straight-line stability, and adds dynamic camber as you steer, meaning the outside wheel gains negative camber exactly when it needs it. That's where the reduced understeer comes from.

Alloy Housings And Low Compliance Bushings

Two parts to how this works.

The alloy housings relocate the mounting position to create the geometry change. That's the anti-lift and caster gain.

The low compliance synthetic elastomer bushings are what make the geometry hold. Factory rubber deflects under load, which means the arm moves and your carefully set geometry changes exactly when you're loading it hardest. Firmer bushings keep the arm located, so the numbers you set are the numbers you have at speed.

Elastomer is the sensible middle ground here. Considerably firmer than factory rubber without the noise and harshness a spherical bearing would put into the cabin, which matters on a car you still drive on the road.

Where You'll Notice It

Three places, and they're all the ones that matter on a fast front-drive car.

Corner exit. This is the big one. Getting on power out of a corner is where a front-driver traditionally struggles, and keeping the front planted is what lets you use the throttle earlier.

Turn-in. The added caster makes the front end respond more immediately when you first ask for direction.

High speed stability. More caster means more self-centering and a car that tracks straighter without constant correction.

On a Type R making the power it does through the front wheels, all three add up to real time on track.

Pairs With The Offset Strut Mounts

Worth knowing, because these two products solve different halves of the same problem and a lot of people end up running both.

This anti-lift kit works at the control arm, resisting front end lift and adding caster. The Whiteline offset strut mounts (KCA570) work at the top of the strut, adding 0.5 degrees of negative camber along with additional positive caster.

Run them together and you've addressed front geometry from both ends: the car stays planted under power, turns in sharply, and the front tires sit at an angle that actually uses the contact patch when the car is loaded. Either one on its own is a real improvement. Both is how you get the front end properly sorted.

Bolt-On, Everything Included

Two housings, two bushings, two insert bushings, four bolts, four washers, and two nuts. One kit covers the front axle and there's nothing else to source.

Get an alignment afterward. You're deliberately changing caster, so the car needs to be set up properly to take advantage of it. Go somewhere that understands performance alignment rather than a shop that'll try to pull everything back to factory spec.

Who Should Run This Kit

This is for the FK8 owner who's found the front end going light on corner exit and wants to fix it properly, and for the Civic or Accord driver chasing sharper turn-in with less understeer. Track days, autocross, or a fast street car where putting power down out of a corner is the limiting factor. It's a geometry change rather than a spring or damper change, which means it addresses something nothing else in your suspension can. Bolt it in, get aligned, and go use the throttle earlier.
