PCI Slider Seat Mounts - Honda/Acura (Driver or Passenger Side)
Got a new race seat and no idea how to get it in the car? You're not alone. Figuring out how to mount an aftermarket bucket seat to a Honda or Acura floor is one of those jobs that looks simple until you start pricing brackets and realize half of them are universal-fit guesses or you're staring down a custom fabrication. PCI built these slider seat mounts to make that problem go away. They bolt straight to your factory seat mount locations, no drilling, no fabricating, no measuring twice and cutting wrong. They come in driver-side and passenger-side versions for all the fitments listed below, so you're getting a mount that was designed for your exact car, not adapted to it. Driver and passenger side designations are based on left-hand-drive vehicles.
Why The Slider Design Matters
PCI runs the S1 slider, and the way it attaches sets it apart. Most budget sliders bolt to the base with two bolts per side. The S1 uses four bolts per slider, which doubles the clamping and shear strength at the joint that gets the most load every time you adjust your seat or take a hit in the car. The slider gives you nearly 10 inches (9 5/8") of front-to-back adjustment, so you can get your seating position right without the compromise that comes with a fixed mount. Single-tool adjustment with bottom-locking hardware means you can dial the position in quickly and it stays there.
Smarter Steel, Not Thicker Steel
Here's the engineering argument PCI makes, and it's a good one. A lot of seat mount manufacturers use 3/16" steel because it's simple and cheap to fabricate, you can weld legs onto a flat piece without needing any real design work. PCI uses 1/8" (3mm) carbon steel instead, but here's the thing: they CNC laser-cut and bend the entire mount from one continuous piece. That single-piece CNC bent design builds in strength exactly where the load is, through bends and geometry, not by adding thickness. The result is a mount that's lighter than a 3/16" welded design and meets or exceeds its strength. Don't let someone sell you on thicker steel being better when the engineering tells a different story.
Built For Race Seats And Five And Six Point Harnesses
These mounts include sub belt mounting locations for both five and six point harnesses, so if you're running a cam-lock harness or building a proper track setup, you're covered. Width adjustment runs from 14-3/4" to 17-1/2" on standard side mounts and 16" to 18-3/4" on wide side mounts, so you can fit most aftermarket buckets regardless of their bolt pattern. One thing to note before you order: the hardware included is everything you need to assemble the mount itself, grade 10.9 8mm hardware throughout, but it does not include the hardware to bolt your seat to the slider. You'll source that based on your seat manufacturer's spec.
Fit And Finish Worth Talking About
The base comes in wrinkle black powder coat and the side rails are gloss black, a combination that looks purposeful under a race seat and holds up to the oil, grit, and abuse a track car floor sees. Stainless steel laser-etched logo plates finish it off, and 1/4" black nylon side mount spacers keep everything lined up properly. The S2000 fitment uses the standard size mount, so if you're building one of those, you're all set.
