Genuine Honda B-Series Crank Pulley Bolt (90017-PR3-003)
The crank pulley bolt is one of the most heavily loaded fasteners in the engine, it holds the harmonic balancer to the crankshaft against everything the engine throws at it, torqued to a serious spec. This is the genuine Honda replacement for the B-series, the correct bolt for a rebuild, a swap, or any time the pulley has come off. It's cheap, it's critical, and it's not a place to reuse tired hardware.
Why This Bolt Matters
Worth understanding, because it's doing a harder job than it looks.
This bolt fastens the crank pulley and harmonic balancer to the front of the crankshaft, and it's torqued to a high value specifically because it has to hold that pulley dead secure through every combustion event and every RPM the engine sees. If it loosens or backs out, the pulley can walk or come off, which throws off your timing, damages the keyway, and can take the front of the engine with it.
That's why it's a bolt you want right. A genuine Honda bolt is made to take the torque spec and the cyclic loading without stretching or failing, where a questionable or reused bolt is a risk on a fastener you really don't want to fail.
Replace It When The Pulley Comes Off
The practical rule for this bolt.
Crank bolts take a high torque and see constant load, which means they stretch over their life. Any time you've had the crank pulley off, for a timing belt, a seal, a rebuild, or a swap, fitting a fresh bolt is cheap insurance against one that's been stretched past its best backing out later.
On a build or a swap especially, where you're assembling an engine you want to trust, there's no reason to reuse an old crank bolt of unknown history when a new genuine one costs so little. Torque it to spec with a fresh bolt and it's one less thing to worry about.
Do The Key While You're There
A companion part worth grabbing with it.
The crank pulley key indexes the pulley to the crankshaft, and like the bolt, it's cheap, easy to damage on removal, and only accessible when the pulley is off. Replacing both together while you're in there means the whole crank-pulley interface is fresh, the bolt holding it tight and the key locating it correctly.
Fits All B-Series
One bolt across the B-series family.
This fits all B-series engines, B16, B17, B18, and B20, so whether you're on a B16A, a B18C GS-R or Type R, a B20, or an LS/B20 VTEC build, it's the correct crank bolt. That wide fitment covers the core of what people build and swap, making it a standard part to have for any B-series work.

Who Should Grab One
This is for anyone doing a timing belt, front seal, rebuild, or B-series swap who wants a fresh, correct crank pulley bolt rather than reusing a stretched one. Genuine Honda, made for the high torque this fastener takes, and cheap insurance on a bolt you never want to fail. Grab the key too while you're in there, torque it to spec, and button up the front of the engine right.
Fits: 1990-2001 Acura Integra, 1999-2000 Civic Si, 1994-1997 Del Sol VTEC, 1997-2001 CR-V, all B-series (B16/B17/B18/B20). Part number: 90017-PR3-003. Function: secures the crank pulley/harmonic balancer to the crankshaft. Type: genuine Honda, high-strength.
