Insane Shafts H-Series Swap Axles - EF/EG/EK Civic, CRX, Del Sol & Integra
An H22 or H23 swap makes real midrange torque, more than the chassis ever came with, and that torque has to get to the ground through the axles. The factory or generic swap axles become the weak link once you're making that power, and a snapped axle ends your day and can take other parts with it. These Insane Shafts axles are built for an H-swap specifically: chromoly through a proprietary heat treatment, available in a 500HP version and a cryo-treated 1000HP version, so you match the axle to how much power you're putting down.
Pick Your Rating: 500HP or 1000HP
Two versions for two levels of power.
500HP is chromoly steel through Insane Shafts' proprietary annealing and heat treatment process, rated to handle up to 500 wheel horsepower. It's a large step up from typical swap axles and the right choice for a strong street or moderately built H-swap.
1000HP is the top of the range, the same chromoly and heat treatment, then cryogenically treated for maximum strength, rated to 1000 wheel horsepower and real-world tested in extreme conditions on and off the track. This is for a seriously built H-series making big power, where the axle can't be the failure point.
If you're under 500whp and staying there, the 500HP version saves money. If you're making big power, running a power adder, or building toward it, the 1000HP is the one that won't hold you back.
Why These Over Typical Swap Axles
Axles are where a lot of H-swaps break, so the construction matters.
Both versions start as chromoly steel, considerably stronger than the standard steel in factory or generic swap axles, and go through Insane Shafts' proprietary annealing and heat treatment. The 1000HP adds cryogenic treatment on top, which takes the metal to extreme low temperatures to refine its grain structure, relieving internal stresses and increasing fatigue resistance.
That fatigue resistance is what matters on an axle that sees violent, repeated shock loading, every hard launch, every time an H-series dumps its torque. It's the difference between an axle that's strong once and one that stays strong launch after launch. These are built to take it so the axle stops being something you worry about.
Includes ABS Rings and Spindle Nuts
The details that make it a complete install.
All Insane Shafts axles include removable ABS rings where applicable, so if your car uses ABS you're covered, and if it doesn't, they come off. New spindle nuts are included too, which is the right way to do it, spindle nuts are a one-time-use torque-to-yield item that shouldn't be reused. You're not sourcing those separately or reusing old hardware on a high-power build.
Fitment
1988-2000 Honda Civic and CRX (EF, EG, EK)
1993-1997 Honda Del Sol
1990-2001 Acura Integra (DA, DC)
With H-series (H22/H23) or F-series swap. Available in 500HP or 1000HP. Insane Shafts also handles custom applications.
If you've swapped an H-series into your EF, EG, EK, CRX, Del Sol, or Integra and you're making the torque these engines are known for, these are the axles that handle it without becoming the weak link, on the street, the track, or the strip. Chromoly and proprietary heat treatment at 500HP, or cryo-treated 1000HP for serious power, with ABS rings and spindle nuts included. Pick your rating, and put the power down.
