Revel Medallion Street Plus Catback Exhaust - 1988-1991 Honda CRX & Civic
The EF Civic and CRX are light, revvy little cars, and the right exhaust should wake up the sound without turning the car into a buzzy drone box. The Revel Medallion Street Plus does exactly that. It's hand-TIG-welded stainless, voiced for a deep, refined tone that stays under 95db under load, so you get a real step up from stock without the volume that gets old fast. Clean, quality, and tuned to sound good rather than just loud.
Tuned For A Deep Tone, Not Just Volume
This is the point of the Street Plus, so it's worth being clear.
Plenty of catbacks just get loud, which on a small four-cylinder usually means a tinny, droning rasp that's tiring on the highway. The Medallion Street Plus is voiced differently: it's tested to stay under 95db under load, with advanced muffler packing that gives a deeper, fuller tone while still suppressing the harsh frequencies that make a cheap exhaust miserable to live with.
The result is a richer sound under acceleration that settles down at cruise, the kind of note that suits the car rather than shouting over it. On a light, high-revving EF, that's a better match than an aggressive, buzzy system, and it's harder to engineer than simply making something loud.
Hand TIG-Welded Stainless
The construction is genuine quality, not a budget catback.
The whole system is fully hand TIG-welded, which produces clean, strong welds that hold up to road salt, moisture, and heat cycling rather than cracking at the joints like cheaper MIG or spot-welded systems, which matters on a car this age that you want to keep. It's built from full SUS201 stainless steel for durability and a finish that lasts.
Hand TIG work is slower and more skilled than automated welding, and it's the difference between a system that lasts the life of the car and one you're replacing in a few years.
Mandrel-Bent, 60mm Piping
The piping is built to flow.
The system uses 60mm mandrel-bent piping, which keeps a consistent diameter through every bend rather than crimping down like cheap crush-bent pipe. Consistent diameter means the exhaust flows freely with no restriction at the bends, reducing backpressure so the engine breathes better on the way out, exactly what a small-displacement motor wants.
Laser-cut flanges connect the sections, precise, flat flanges that seal properly and prevent the exhaust leaks that plague poorly made systems.
Rolled Tips, Clean Look
The 100mm single-wall rolled tips are understated and elegant rather than oversized, and the rolled edge contributes to the deeper tone as well as the look. The rolled muffler canister is clean and simple, a tasteful presentation that suits a tidy EF rather than shouting for attention. It looks like it belongs on the car.
OEM Fitment Only
Important to confirm before ordering.
This is designed and tested for U.S.-spec vehicles with the OEM exhaust system. If your car has non-OEM, aftermarket, or previously modified exhaust components upstream (a different header, downpipe, or test pipe), fitment may vary and isn't covered under warranty.
So if your CRX or Civic is otherwise stock from the catback connection back, this is a direct fit. If you've modified the exhaust ahead of it, confirm compatibility first.
