Genuine Honda F22/F23 Water Pump 19200-P0A-003
Every F22 and F23 is a timing belt engine, and the water pump lives under that belt, spun by it, hidden behind the covers, and due for replacement every time the belt comes off. This is the genuine Honda pump for the job, part number 19200-P0A-003, built by Yamada, Honda's original supplier, and it comes with the gasket. If you're doing the timing belt on a 90-02 Accord, a first-gen Odyssey, a Prelude S, or a four-cylinder CL, this is the factory part.
Why Genuine Matters Here
A water pump failure on these engines isn't just an overheating problem. Because the belt drives the pump, a seized or wobbling pump can take the timing belt with it, and these are interference engines, so a lost belt means bent valves. That's why the pump gets replaced with every belt as cheap insurance, and why the quality bar on this specific part is higher than its price suggests. The genuine Yamada pump is the same unit these engines left Marysville with, with the impeller design and bearing quality the cooling system was built around. Aftermarket pumps in this application range from decent to plastic-impeller gambles, and the difference only shows up 40,000 miles into the next belt interval, buried behind the timing covers where checking on it costs three hours of labor.
Installation is straightforward during a belt job: the pump seals with a new O-ring, Honda calls for liquid gasket on the bolt threads, and the bolts torque to 12 Nm, which is 108 inch pounds, not foot pounds. Snug, not gorilla-tight, into aluminum.

Fitment
| Years | Vehicle | Engine |
| 1990-2002 | Honda Accord (4-cylinder) | F22A / F22B / F23A |
| 1995-1998 | Honda Odyssey | F22B6 |
| 1992-1996 | Honda Prelude S (non-VTEC) | F22A1 |
| 1997-1999 | Acura CL (4-cylinder) | F22B1 / F23A1 |
Two qualifiers that prevent wrong orders. On the Prelude, this pump fits the S model's non-VTEC F22A1 only; the H23 Si and VTEC H22 cars use different pumps. And on the Accord and CL, this is the four-cylinder pump; the 3.0 V6 uses a different Aisin-made part entirely. The 96-99 Isuzu Oasis, which is a first-gen Odyssey wearing an Isuzu badge, takes this pump too. If you're not sure which engine you have, send us the VIN and we'll confirm before you order.
What to Know Before You Buy
Do this job with the timing belt, not instead of it. The labor to reach the pump and the labor to do the belt are the same three hours, so replacing one without the other just schedules a second teardown. Grab the belt, the balancer belt, the tensioner, a valve cover gasket while you're in there, and genuine Honda coolant, and the front of that engine is done for another 90,000-plus miles. These engines routinely clear 300,000 miles, and belt-interval maintenance with factory parts is most of the reason why.
