Hybrid Racing has been working with Justin on his EM1 for the last few months to get it to where it is today. The car was first built with a turbocharged B16A, but it turned out to have numerous issues and was something that he just really didn’t enjoy. During the turbo build, all of the suspension mods and wheels were completed but once he realized the turbo build wasn’t for him, he parted it out to start collecting all the necessary parts to do a K-swap. He started off shaving and painting the engine bay back to the OEM Electron Blue Pearl. Once the bay was dried up, he continued on with the fuel system and the brake line tuck. After the lines were taken care of, the engine was installed. As soon as Justin got all the kinks worked out he had the car tuned and it put down an impressive 220whp with just simple bolt-ons.
His EBP EM1 is the epitome of nice and simple. Justin daily drive’s his K-swapped EM1 and it goes to show that you don’t have to have crazy stuff going everywhere to have a nice, functional, and fast car. He is not 100% finished with the car and has some more upgrades to do, but we will update you once those changes have been made. For now, here are the specs and some more pictures. What do you think? Would you go simple and clean over flashy?
