Wunderladen Racing Oil Dipstick - 2024-2026 Acura Integra Type S (K20C8)
If you've ever tried to check the oil on your Integra Type S right after an oil change, you already know how frustrating the factory dipstick is. For whatever reason Honda made the level-marked area out of orange plastic, and it's terrible at the one job it has. The oil doesn't cling to it and it barely shows up against the orange, so you're standing there squinting trying to figure out if you actually hit the right level. That's a dumb thing to guess at on a car you care about. Wunderladen Racing fixed it. This is an all-metal dipstick with proper hash marks machined right into it for your high and low points, plus a grid pattern that actually grabs and holds the oil so you get a clear reading every single time. You pull it, you read it, you know. No squinting, no second-guessing. And yeah, the billet handle looks great in the bay with the laser-etched Type S logo, but the real reason to run it is that it does the actual job better than the part Honda gave you.
Here's Why The Factory Orange Plastic Is The Problem
It comes down to two things the factory stick does wrong. First, that orange plastic doesn't hold oil, so when you pull it the oil sheets right off and you're left with almost nothing to read. Second, even when there is oil on it, dark oil against an orange background just doesn't show up, so you can't tell where the wet line actually sits. Put those together and checking your oil turns into a guessing game, which is the last thing you want right after a change when you're trying to confirm you filled it right. Wunderladen's metal stick with the grid pattern solves both. The grid grabs and holds the oil so there's a clear wet line, and the markings are machined into the metal where you can actually see them. It's the difference between knowing your oil level and just hoping you got it close.
A Wider Reading Range Tuned To The Windage Tray
This is where the Type S stick goes beyond just being easier to read. Wunderladen spread the high and low markings further apart to give you a wider reading range, and they set the high mark right at the factory windage tray. That's a big deal. It means you can run a little more oil in your Type S while keeping it under the windage tray, which helps the oil last longer and hold pressure better when you're driving the car hard. And because the mark's set there, you can actually read that extra oil instead of overfilling blind. They set the low mark a bit lower too so you can clearly see where you're at if you're running low. The recommendation is to always keep your oil at least above the halfway point, and now you've got a stick that actually lets you see it.
A Stiffer Seal So It Won't Blow Out Under Boost
Here's a detail that matters if you're running real boost on your Type S. Wunderladen fine-tuned the o-ring to seal a little stiffer than the factory dipstick. Why does that matter? Because when you're pushing boost you build up a lot of crankcase pressure, and a loose-sealing dipstick can get shoved right out and spray oil all over your engine bay. That's a mess you don't want to discover mid-pull. The tighter seal keeps the stick seated where it belongs even when crankcase pressure climbs. Small thing, big headache avoided.
Billet Handle With The Type S Logo
The dorky orange plastic handle is gone, and in its place is a billet aluminum handle with the Type S logo laser-etched into it. So yeah, it cleans up the look under the hood and ties into your Type S, that's a nice bonus. But pair that with a stick that's genuinely easier to read and seals better under boost, and you've got a part that earns its spot, not just a shiny piece for show. One heads up, the metal handle gets hot, so take some care checking your oil on a hot engine.
Driving A Type R Or A 1.5T Civic/Integra?
This dipstick is built specifically for the Integra Type S, and the only thing separating it from the Civic Type R version is the laser-etched logo on the handle, the Type S gets the S, the Type R gets the R. The Type S and Type R sticks are otherwise the same. If you're running a Civic Type R, head over to the Type R dipstick so your handle wears the right badge. And if you're running a 1.5T Civic or Integra, that's a different engine entirely and Wunderladen makes a dipstick tuned for it, so grab that one instead. Make sure you're on the right page for your car before you order.

Note: Wunderladen Racing oil dipstick for 2024-2026 Acura Integra Type S (K20C8). All-metal stick with machined high and low hash marks and a grid pattern that retains oil for clear, accurate level reading - a major improvement over the hard-to-read factory orange plastic. High and low markings spread further for a wider reading range; high mark set at the factory windage tray so you can run additional oil while keeping it under the tray for better oil life and pressure under hard driving (keep oil above the halfway point). Stiffer-than-factory o-ring seal resists dipstick blow-out from high crankcase pressure on high-boost setups. Billet aluminum handle with a laser-etched Type S logo. Differs from the Civic Type R dipstick only by the etched logo (S vs R); otherwise identical. Caution: handle gets hot - take care checking oil on a hot engine. Fits the Integra Type S only - Civic Type R and 1.5T Civic/Integra owners should select the dipstick made for their car (sold separately). Made in the USA. One dipstick per order.
