PRODUCT DETAILS
SpeedFactory Racing Ultra Lightweight Rear Staging Brake Rotor, Sold Each - Part #SF-RTA-3040-V2
Staging rotors wear, get grooved by a pad that's seen too many burnouts, and occasionally get bent by a trailer strap. When you need one, you need one, not a whole kit. The SpeedFactory Racing Ultra Lightweight Rear Staging Brake Rotor is the same slotted steel rotor SpeedFactory ships in its AWD / FWD staging brake kit and its FWD rear trailing arm kit, sold individually, and it also fits the discontinued KS Tuned lightweight rear trailing arm kits.
What It Is and Why It Works
This rotor weighs about half of a stock Honda rear rotor. On a drag car the rears don't stop anything; they hold the car in the beams against the converter or clutch with a hydraulic handbrake, and everything else is mass you're carrying down the track. Two of these instead of two factory rotors is a real chunk of the 16 pounds the full staging brake kit saves, and it's unsprung and rotating, which is where weight hurts most.
The 11 windows cut into the rotor are its second job. A Hall effect sensor mounted on a SpeedFactory V2 caliper bracket reads those windows and gives your ECU true rear wheel speed, which is the signal that makes wheel speed based traction control and launch control work on a car that spins the fronts. If you bought an early kit with solid rotors, this V2 windowed rotor is the upgrade that unlocks that, along with a V2 bracket and an M DHALL 437 sensor.

What to Know Before You Buy
Sold each. Replace rotors in pairs unless you're only fixing damage on one side, and if one side is worn through, look hard at why before you assume the other isn't. This rotor only fits SpeedFactory's staging brake kits and the old KS Tuned lightweight trailing arm kits. It will not bolt onto a factory Integra or Civic hub with a factory caliper, and it is not a lightweight rotor for a street car; there isn't enough mass in it to shed heat from real braking.
Staging only, hydraulic handbrake only, offroad only. Check rotor thickness and look for cracks at the windows every event; the windows are stress risers and a rotor that's been dragged a few times will show it there first. If the sensor gap has drifted or the ECU is dropping wheel speed, a warped rotor is the first thing to check. Pads are not included; use the ones SpeedFactory supplies with the kit.
