PRODUCT DETAILS

Radium Fuel Pump Hanger - 88-91 Civic/CRX / 90-93 Integra

You're upgrading to a high-flow fuel pump in your EF Civic, CRX, or DA Integra and you need a hanger that doesn't require cutting up your fuel tank? The Radium fuel pump hanger's a direct replacement for your stock fuel pump assembly. No cutting, no welding, no modifications to your tank or sheet metal. You're dropping the tank, unbolting the stock hanger, and swapping in the Radium hanger with your upgraded pump installed. The hanger positions your pump down in the factory collector bowl so you're not starving for fuel when the tank's low or you're pulling hard in corners. It comes with fittings for aftermarket fuel lines and upgraded electrical connections that handle the higher current draw from performance pumps. Radium makes two versions depending on which pump you're running, one for Walbro GSS342 or AEM 50-1200 pumps, and one for Walbro F90000267/274/285 or brushless pumps.

Here's Why You Need This

The stock fuel pump hanger sits the pump up high in the tank. When your fuel level drops or you're cornering hard, the pump sucks air instead of fuel. You're leaning on the car and it stumbles or cuts out because the pump's not getting fuel. That's fuel starvation and it kills power right when you need it. The Radium hanger fixes that by positioning your upgraded pump in the factory collector bowl - that's the low spot where fuel collects. Even when you're running on fumes or pulling lateral Gs, the pump's sitting in fuel instead of air. No more cutting out mid-corner or babying the throttle when the tank's under half.

Two Versions for Different Pumps

Radium makes this hanger in two configurations. Pick the one that matches your fuel pump.

Version 1 - Part Number 20-1790 (Walbro GSS342 / AEM 50-1200):
This version fits the Walbro GSS342 (255 LPH) and AEM 50-1000, 50-1200, 50-1220, 50-1230, and 50-1235 pumps. The GSS342's a common upgrade for naturally aspirated or mild turbo builds. If you're running a GSS342, you can reuse your stock fuel pump wiring but Radium recommends upgrading it so the pump's getting full voltage and running at its full potential. Sock filters are included in the kit for the Walbro GSS342. AEM pumps come with sock filters from the manufacturer. Note that the AEM 50-1230 and 50-1235 don't have check valves built in.

Version 2 - Part Number 20-1792 (Walbro F90000267/274/285 / Brushless Pumps):
This version fits Walbro F90000267, F90000274, F90000285, F90000295, Ti Automotive E5LM brushless, Protec 11928 brushless, Fuelab 49614 brushless, Deatschwerks DW440 brushless, and Deatschwerks DW810 brushless pumps. These are higher-flow pumps for turbocharged or high-horsepower builds. Sock filters are included in the kit for the Walbro pumps. Brushless pumps (Protec, Fuelab, Deatschwerks) come with sock filters from the manufacturer. Note that the Walbro F90000295 and Ti Automotive E5LM don't have check valves built in. If you're running a brushless pump, you'll need to route the extra controller wires through the hanger.

Fuel Line Fittings Are Included

The hanger's got an 8AN ORB female outlet for the feed line and a 6AN ORB female inlet for the return. Both come with preinstalled male fittings - 6AN male for the feed and 6AN male for the return. Those fittings let you connect aftermarket braided lines with AN fittings. If you're keeping your stock fuel lines, Radium sells a fuel hanger connection kit separately that adapts the AN fittings to your factory hard lines. The fittings are machined low profile so they clear your trunk floor when the tank's reinstalled. You're not dealing with clearance issues.

Upgraded Electrical Connections

The Radium hanger uses custom anti-rotation stainless steel electrical studs instead of cheap multi-pin bulkhead connectors. High-flow fuel pumps pull serious current. The stainless studs handle that current without overheating or corroding. The electrical connections are hermetically sealed so they're not going to leak or short out even when they're submerged in fuel. The acorn nuts are anodized aluminum and non-conductive so you can't accidentally short the terminals. The in-tank wiring's insulated with ETFE which is chemically resistant to gasoline, E85, methanol, and all the fuels you're likely to run. If you're running a single Walbro GSS342, you can reuse your stock wiring. For everything else, upgrade your fuel pump wiring so the pump's getting full voltage.

Note: Fuel pump is NOT included - order separately. Make sure you're ordering the correct hanger version for your fuel pump. The pumps aren't interchangeable between hanger versions. You'll need to drop your fuel tank to install this hanger. While you're in there, replace your fuel filter and inspect your fuel lines for cracks or wear. Stock fuel pump wiring can handle a Walbro GSS342 but Radium recommends upgrading your wiring for better voltage delivery and reliability. Higher-flow pumps and brushless pumps definitely need upgraded wiring to handle the current draw. If you're keeping your stock fuel lines, order Radium's fuel hanger connection kit separately to adapt the AN fittings to your factory hard lines. Test for fuel leaks at all the AN ORB connections before you reinstall the tank. Tighten the ORB fittings with a wrench (not hand-tight) and make sure the O-rings are seated properly. If you're running a pump without a built-in check valve (AEM 50-1230/1235, Walbro F90000295, Ti Automotive E5LM), install an inline check valve in your fuel feed line to prevent fuel pressure bleed-off when the engine's off.
