PRL Motorsports High Volume Intake Air Duct - Ridgeline & Pilot 3.5L
The factory air duct feeding your airbox is a restriction, and it's one of the cheapest to fix. This PRL duct replaces it with a high-volume thermoplastic inlet that flows considerably more air into the box. It works with your factory airbox and filter, stacks with the Stage 1 Intake System, and needs no tune.
The Cheapest Step, And It Stacks
This is what makes the duct worth understanding, because it's not an either-or against a full intake.
Your intake path is airbox, filter, and the duct feeding the box. A full intake system replaces the box and filter. This replaces the duct, which is the restriction ahead of them.
Because it attaches to the factory airbox, you can run it two ways: on its own with the stock filter for a low-cost gain, or as part of PRL's Stage 1 Intake System. It's not a competing product, it's a piece that works with what you have and keeps working as you upgrade.
Start here cheap, add the intake later, and the duct stays in play the whole time.
Why The Factory Duct Restricts
Honda designs the intake duct for quiet, not for flow.
Factory ducts are shaped and sized to muffle intake noise and meet packaging constraints, which means narrow sections, resonator chambers, and bends that trade airflow for silence. On a 3.5L V6 hauling a Ridgeline or a loaded Pilot, that restriction is real, and it's most felt when the engine is working.
The high-volume duct opens that path up. More air into the box means the engine breathes more freely under load, which is where a naturally aspirated V6 in a heavy vehicle actually needs it.
Pair It With The Stage 1 Intake
The natural next step, and the reason it's worth doing together.
The duct feeds more air toward the airbox, and the Stage 1 Intake System handles everything downstream of it. Running both opens up the whole path from the inlet through the intake rather than just the duct on its own.
They're designed to work together, so this isn't two products fighting for the same job. The duct is the inlet, the Stage 1 is the system it feeds, and together they're the full airflow upgrade for the 3.5L while still needing no tune.
No Tune, Genuine Bolt-On
No ECU calibration required. The duct improves airflow into the factory metering setup rather than changing how air is measured, so the ECU reads what it expects and nothing needs recalibrating.
Installation is straightforward with the included hardware. The kit comes with the thermoplastic duct, a 4-ply silicone hose, stainless worm clamps, push-clips, and a resonator plug to seal off the factory resonator port the stock duct used.
What's In The Kit

- (1) 4-ply silicone intake hose
- (3) Stainless steel worm gear clamps
- (2) Push-clips
- (1) Resonator plug

Who Should Grab This
This is for the Ridgeline or Pilot owner who wants more airflow without buying a full intake, and for anyone building toward one who'd rather start with the cheapest piece that stacks. It works with your factory airbox now and with the Stage 1 intake later, it needs no tune, and it opens up the most restrictive part of the stock intake path. Bolt it on and let the V6 breathe.
Fits: 2017+ Honda Ridgeline and 2016-2022 Honda Pilot, 3.5L. Construction: thermoplastic duct with 4-ply silicone hose. Tuning: no ECU calibration required. Works with: factory airbox or the PRL Stage 1 Intake System. Includes: duct, silicone hose, stainless clamps, push-clips, and resonator plug.
