Honda 06-11 Civic Coupe Door Pillar Molding - 72470-SVA-A00ZA / 72430-SVA-A00ZA
Are your 8th gen Civic coupe's door pillar moldings are faded and making the whole car look rough? Part number 72470-SVA-A00ZA for the driver side and 72430-SVA-A00ZA for the passenger side. These are the factory door pillar moldings (also called door sashes) that run along the B-pillar between the front and rear windows. After 15+ years of sun exposure and people grabbing them to close the door, the black plastic fades to gray and gets chalky. These moldings come with the factory foam seal already stuck to the back. The seal runs along the backside of the molding and seals it against the body when it's installed. Without the seal, water gets behind the molding and you've got wind noise or water leaking into the door jamb. The OEM moldings have the seal pre-installed so you're not hunting down separate foam tape or trying to figure out where it goes. The molding's ready to install.
Sold Separately So You Replace What's Bad
Driver and passenger side moldings are sold separately. If only one side's faded bad, you can replace just that one. Sometimes both sides are equally trashed and you replace both. Order whichever sides you need. The moldings are different part numbers for left and right because they're mirror images of each other. Don't order two driver side moldings thinking they're the same. Check which side you need before you order.
