Eibach 23mm Rear Sway Bar - 2002-2006 Acura RSX
Your RSX rolling like a boat in corners? The Eibach 23mm rear sway bar stiffens up your rear suspension so your car doesn't lean as much when you're turning. Your factory rear sway bar is thin and it doesn't resist body roll enough. The Eibach bar's 23mm diameter (thicker than stock) and it's made from cold-formed aircraft-grade steel. The stiffer bar reduces body roll, which keeps more of your tire's contact patch on the road. More contact patch means more grip. If you autocross your RSX or you just hate how much it rolls in corners, this bar makes a noticeable difference.
Here's What a Rear Sway Bar Does
Your sway bar connects your left and right suspension together. When you turn and your car leans, one side of the suspension compresses and the other side extends. The sway bar resists that motion and it tries to keep both sides level. A thicker sway bar resists more, which reduces body roll. Less body roll means your tires stay flatter on the road instead of rolling onto the sidewalls. When your tires are flat on the road, you've got more grip and your car turns better. The Eibach bar's thicker than your factory bar, so it reduces roll way more than stock.
23mm Cold-Formed Aircraft-Grade Steel
Eibach makes this sway bar from aircraft-grade steel and cold-forms it instead of heating it. Cold-forming maintains the steel's strength and prevents weak points. A lot of cheap sway bars are made from mild steel that bends or breaks under heavy use. The Eibach bar's strong enough to handle hard cornering without flexing or failing. It's got a red powder coat finish for corrosion resistance. The bar's not going to rust out like a cheap bar would.
Works Great with Eibach Springs
If you're already running Eibach Pro-Kit or Sportline lowering springs, this sway bar's designed to work with them. Lowering springs stiffen your suspension, which can make your car more tail-happy or prone to understeer depending on how the spring rates are set up. Adding a rear sway bar balances out the handling so the car rotates better into corners instead of pushing wide. Eibach sells this sway bar as part of their Pro-System-Plus and Sport-System-Plus kits, which include springs and sway bars together. If you bought the springs separately, this is the matching rear sway bar.

Installation's straightforward, you're unbolting your factory rear sway bar and bolting this one on in the same location. A stiffer rear sway bar will make your RSX rotate better into corners and reduce understeer, but it can also make your rear end more prone to oversteer.
