AEM UEGO Air Fuel Ratio Gauge

The AEM X-Series Wideband UEGO AFR Sensor Controller Gauge (SKU: AEM-30-0300) is a standard 2 1/16 inch, 52mm AEM air fuel gauge, but it looks bigger because AEM bumped the center seven segment display up by 87 percent compared to the older 30-4110. That matters when you are actually trying to read it in a quick pull or a long hill climb, not when you are staring at it in the garage. It also stays easy to mount in common pods since it keeps the normal 52mm footprint. Depth is where this AEM wideband gauge gets practical, it measures under one inch overall, and the cup depth is only 0.200 inches, so you can fit it in spots that usually force you into a clunky pod setup.

On the face, you get buttons that let you set it up the way you actually tune. You can run it as an AEM Lambda gauge, a traditional AFR readout, or O2 percent, and you can change the center display between three or four digits depending on how much detail you want while driving. You can also do a free air calibration if you want as the sensor ages, and if you are stacking multiple controllers you can change the CAN message ID so everything plays nice together. Out of the box you get a black bezel and a black dual faceplate that covers air fuel and Lambda. If you want the cleaner white look, AEM sells an AEM X-Series accessory face and bezel separately, PN 30-0300-ACC, which is the AFR gauge silver bezel setup with the white dual faceplate. If you are specifically after an AEM white face gauge, this is how you do it. It is a customizable AFR gauge, but it is still a gauge first, you will spend a few minutes in the menus up front to get it exactly how you want.

It has auto dimming so it does not burn your eyes at night, and it uses locking connectors, which sounds boring until you have chased an intermittent wideband signal for an hour. AEM also uses a single board design here to improve durability. We run these exact AEM UEGO gauge setups on our own cars because they are readable, consistent, and they log cleanly.

For outputs, this AEM wideband kit gives you 0 to 5V and an RS232 serial port for feedback control and datalogging, plus AEMnet CANbus for logging and sharing data. With AEMnet you can daisy chain multiple X-Series wideband controllers, up to 16 cylinders, so you can log per bank or per cylinder on more serious builds. It supports up to 16V system voltage, works on EFI or carb setups, and it is happy on a dyno. Fuel support covers the real world mix, gasoline, ethanol, methanol, diesel, propane, and CNG. If you want one X-Series AFR gauge or you are building a full X-Series gauge kit around CAN, this one does both without drama.
