Hybrid Racing Transmission Detent Springs for 2007-2013 Honda Civic/Jazz & 2011-2016 Honda CR-Z

If your shifter feels a little vague, like it slides into gear instead of clicking in, your detent springs are a big part of that. Our Hybrid Racing detent springs, SKU: HYB-DTS-01-01, replace the soft factory pieces with performance detent springs that run a 30% stiffer spring rate than OEM. You get more preload on the selector, which means your gearbox feels tighter and more intentional.

These Hybrid Racing gear springs put more tension on the gear selector mechanism, so engagement feels crisper and more mechanical. It’s a legit gear engagement upgrade you can feel on the 2 to 3 shift and any fast downshift where the stock setup can feel mushy. Pair these CR-Z transmission springs with our Heavy Duty Gear Selector Springs and you cover both directions of the shifter, detents help the forward and backward movement, selector springs help the side to side. Together they make the whole pattern feel more defined.

We run stiffer transmission springs like this on our own cars because they make the driveline feel more connected, especially when you drive hard. Trade off, you’ll feel a little more effort and a more notchy mechanical feel, that’s the point. It’s great for a worn transmission spring replacement on a higher mileage car, and it still makes sense on a fresh box if you want stronger shifter springs for track days or just better feedback on the street.

Fitment and install are straightforward. CR-Z 6spd springs setups and Fit RS use all three springs. Fit and Jazz 5 speed applications use two. These also cover Honda Fit 2007-2013 springs, including Honda Fit detent springs and Honda Fit shift springs, plus Honda Jazz detent springs and Honda Jazz RS springs. Torque the detent bolts to 16 lbf ft (22 N·m). Don’t gorilla them, stripped threads ruin your day.

Key Features:

  • Compatible with 2007-2013 Honda Civic/Jazz and 2011-2016 Honda CR-Z
  • 30% stiffer spring rate than factory for clearer shift feedback
  • Improves detent tension for more deliberate gear engagement
  • Works great with Hybrid Racing Gear Selector Springs for a bigger shift feel change
  • Solid choice for street driving and track use
  • CR-Z shift springs and Fit RS 6 speed use 3 springs, Fit and Jazz 5 speed use 2
  • Torque spec for detent bolts: 16 lbf ft (22 N·m)

If you want your Honda to feel like it actually locks into gear, not just kind of falls there, these Hybrid Racing detent springs do exactly that. It’s a small part, but you’ll notice it every single shift.
