SpeedFactory Racing 70mm Cast Throttle Body - B/D/F/H Series

You've built your B, D, F, or H series and you're feeding it through a stock throttle body that's choking the airflow. The factory throttle body's sized for stock power. When you've got a bigger cam, an aftermarket manifold, a turbo, or you're just chasing every bit of power the stock unit becomes a restriction. SpeedFactory makes a 70mm cast throttle body that opens that up. More airflow. Sharper throttle response. Real power gains across the whole powerband. And it doesn't matter if you're naturally aspirated or boosted. This thing works on both. The best part is you're not giving up drivability to get it. The idle stays smooth. The throttle's still controllable. You can dial in your idle with the plate position and idle air adjustment screws. This is the throttle body SpeedFactory recommends for most street and strip builds because it makes power without making the car a pain to drive.

Here's Why The Stock Throttle Body Holds You Back

The throttle body controls how much air gets into the engine. The stock one's sized for a stock engine. When you upgrade your cam or your intake manifold or you add boost you're moving way more air than the factory throttle body was designed for. It becomes a bottleneck. The engine wants more air but the throttle body won't let it through. You're leaving power on the table. The 70mm bore opens that restriction up. More air flows. The engine breathes. You feel sharper response when you hit the throttle and you make more power up top where you're moving the most air.

Smooth Operation - Dual Ball Bearings And Tapered Bore

A lot of cheap big-bore throttle bodies feel notchy or sticky. This one doesn't. It runs dual ball bearings so the throttle plate moves smooth through the whole range. The bore's fully machined and tapered so the air flows clean. The throttle plate's precision machined brass. You're getting a throttle that feels right under your foot, not one that's grabby or vague. The plate stop adjustment screw and the black anodized idle air screw let you fine tune your idle exactly where you want it.

Two Gaskets Included - The Thermal One Matters

SpeedFactory includes both a high quality composite gasket and their SFR thermal gasket. The thermal gasket's the one you want to pay attention to. It reduces heat transfer from the head into the throttle body and intake. Less heat means denser air. Denser air means more power. It also reduces detonation because you're not soaking up as much heat into the incoming charge. That's free power and added safety just from the right gasket. Both are in the box so you pick what works for your setup.

Bolts Up With Your OEM Cable - Quality Hardware Included

This is designed to work with your OEM throttle cable and bracket so you're not re-engineering your linkage. The zinc-plated mounting bolts and TPS hardware are included. You bolt it on, hook up your cable, transfer your TPS, and you're running. No fabrication. The TPS mounts right where it should.

Check Compatibility Before You Order

This throttle body's for manual transmission cars only. It does NOT fit OEM B18C GSR, 88-91 D-series, or downflow intake manifolds. It does NOT fit the F22C. The F20C is fine. It's designed for aftermarket intake manifolds because of the larger bore. If your manifold's throttle body opening is smaller than 70mm you'll likely need to modify it to keep the IAC passage separate. Make sure your manifold and setup line up before you order so you grab the right part.
