Your factory PCV system recirculates crankcase blow-by back into your intake, which means oil vapors are going back into your engine and coating your intake manifold, throttle body, and valves with oil residue. A catch can intercepts that blow-by and traps the oil and moisture before it gets back into your intake. The SpeedFactory naturally aspirated catch can replaces your factory PCV system with a clean breather setup that vents crankcase vapors through a filter instead of recirculating them. It's designed specifically for B series naturally aspirated engines but it can be adapted to other applications too.

Why You Need a Catch Can

Every engine produces crankcase blow-by. That's combustion gases and oil vapor that slip past your piston rings and end up in the crankcase. Your factory PCV system sucks that vapor back into the intake to be burned, but it also pulls oil along with it. Over time, your intake manifold and valves get coated in an oily film that hurts airflow and fuel atomization. A catch can traps the oil and moisture before it recirculates, keeping your intake cleaner and your engine running better.

Designed for B Series Naturally Aspirated Engines

This catch can is designed for naturally aspirated B series engines (B16, B17, B18, B20) that aren't turbocharged or supercharged. The kit includes B series specific adapter fittings that bolt directly to your engine block breather ports. If you're running a turbo or supercharger, you need a different catch can setup designed for forced induction applications.

Replaces the Factory PCV System

This setup removes the factory PCV valve and replaces it with the catch can. Oil vapors and blow-by get routed through the catch can where the oil and moisture condense and collect in the can. The remaining vapors vent to the atmosphere through the included breather filter. You drain the collected oil out of the can periodically using the drain plug at the bottom.

SpeedFactory includes everything you need to install this catch can on your B series engine. You're not sourcing hose fittings, clamps, or mounting hardware separately. Just bolt it up and route the hose.
