SpeedFactory 16V Battery Box - Honda/Acura Framerail Mount
Relocating a 16V AGM battery in your Honda or Acura? Skip the weekend of staring at flat stock trying to figure out how to build a mounting solution. SpeedFactory already did that for you. This battery box mounts to your framerail on either the passenger or driver side, fits XS Power 16V batteries (XP1000, D1600, and S1600), and comes with a temporary mounting hole that bolts into an existing threaded location in your framerail so you can get it positioned before you weld it in. You still need to do a few short welds to permanently secure it, but that's a lot easier than building one from scratch.
Easier Than Fabricating Your Own
If you've ever tried to fab a battery box from flat stock, you know how much time it takes to get it right. This box is already laser cut and CNC formed to the correct dimensions. The seams are TIG welded where they need to be so it doesn't flex or rack with a heavy battery in it. There's a temporary mounting hole that threads into your framerail so you can mock it up and figure out your exact position before committing to welds. Pre-cut X-pattern cutouts are built in to make welding the box to the framerail cleaner and easier once you're ready to make it permanent.
Fits XS Power 16V Batteries
SpeedFactory designed this box for XS Power 16V AGM lead acid batteries. The XP1000, D1600, and S1600 all have slightly different case sizes but they all fit this box. If you're running a different brand battery, check that it measures 10.24 inches long, 7.20 inches tall, and 6.75 inches wide before ordering.
Laser Cut Steel with SF Logo
The box is made from laser cut and CNC-formed A36 hot-rolled mild steel. The battery hold-down strap and the box both have laser cut SF logos on them. It's not just a plain rectangle of steel welded together.
