Hybrid Racing Performance Shifter Cables - 2002-2006 Acura RSX (DC5)
Your factory RSX shifter cables have plastic rod ends, thin cable cores, and cheap bushings that wear out and get sloppy over time. That slop shows up as missed shifts, vague gear engagement, and a disconnected feel when you're rowing through gears. Hybrid Racing performance shifter cables fix all of that. These cables use solid rod ends, a 30% thicker cable core, and spherical bearings to give you a firmer, tighter shift feel. You get fewer missed shifts and a more connected feel to your DC5, whether you're driving hard on the street or at the track.
Built to Handle Hard Shifting
We built these cables to give you peace of mind when you shift hard and during demanding racing applications. The 30% thicker cable core resists stretching and wear better than the thin factory core. The solid rod ends and spherical bearings don't flex or bind like the factory pieces do. If you're beating on your RSX, you need cables that won't let you down.
Spherical Bearings and Stainless Steel Components
The cables use spherical bearings at the pivot points instead of cheap bushings. You also get stainless steel push rods and upgraded stainless steel swivel support tubes. The factory cables use plastic support tubes that are known to break, especially on high mileage RSXs or cars that get driven hard. Hybrid Racing cables eliminate that weak point with stainless steel tubes that won't crack or snap.
CNC Machined Aluminum Components
All of the rod ends and mounting bushings are CNC machined from 6061 aluminum, then heat treated and coated with black hard anodizing before being laser etched with the Hybrid Racing logo. The OEM cable that controls the right/left motion of the shifter has been upgraded from a plastic twist-lock bushing to aluminum bushings with a spring clip. This simplifies installation and gets rid of another plastic part that flexes and causes slop on the factory cables.
Direct Replacement for OEM RSX Cables
These cables are a direct replacement for your factory 2002-2006 RSX shifter cables. If you're installing them in an RSX chassis, you'll need to retrofit the original cable grommet onto the new Hybrid Racing cables. The grommet transfer is straightforward. The spring clip you need for installation is included with the cables, so you don't have to hunt down extra parts. We include an easy to follow installation tips sheet with each set of cables to make the job as simple as possible.
For K Swap Applications
For K swap builds, we recommend our shorter RSX transmission shifter cables, HYB-SCA-01-07, which are specifically designed for swap applications as RSX cables are too long for most K Swap applications.

K Swap Applications
These cables can be used for K swap applications, but for dedicated K swap builds we recommend our HYB-SCA-01-07 cables which are specifically designed for swap use.
Note: Direct replacement for OEM RSX shifter cables. Requires transfer of factory cable grommet for RSX chassis installation. For K swap applications, no grommet needed. All necessary hardware and installation clips included. Installation guide included with cables.
